WHAT IS AN APEX?
An apex supports your natural nail by creating strength in the back third portion of your nail plate which is the stress area. This means that your natural nail is supported and the acrylic is less likely to snap.
Your nails should NEVER be completely flat, although most places do create nails like this🥺😞 This creates a lot of stress on your natural nails which we do not want!!
The pictures show the acrylic being freshly laid, in order to show the apex being created. Once filed this helps the strength of your nail!

It's soooo important to lay the acrylic correctly in order to ensure the strength of both your natural and artificial nail. Doing this perfectly also reduces the filing time🥰
