PINKABOO
-
Blonde refresh for Alyssa with a cheeky pink peakaboo, vivids are definitely not my thing but we had fun.

What colour peakaboo would you have?

Just a few clients who have taught me the most.

Some of my favourite haircuts are the ones built on trust.

The ones who couldn’t sit in the chair the first time.
The ones who need just clippers or just scissors.
The ones who won’t wear a gown.
The ones who need extra time, patience and understanding.
Every tiny milestone is a huge achievement.

Autistic children have taught me so many things:
slow down, listen differently, adapt, and celebrate progress that others might not even notice. There isn’t a one size fits all approach, and that’s exactly why I love what I do.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that unless autism touches your life in some way, it’s easy to underestimate just how much thought, patience and everyday experiences can take.
Every child deserves to feel safe, accepted and never judged in the salon.
To every family who trusts me with something that can feel so overwhelming. THANK YOU!
It means more than you’ll ever know. Iv lived with a family member who has autism and when I hear stories from others who live with it day to day Iv come to terms that unless you’ve lived with it do you fully understand it?

PART TWO…

She hadn’t been for 12 WEEKS!

She was holding off for her holiday and her extensions were holding on for dear life!

A root refresh and nano refit, she’s feeling fresh for her holiday and her extensions are 10 months old and still feel great!

Not every haircut looks the same and that’s EXACTLY how it should be.
Every client is different, and it’s my job to adapt to them, not the other way around.
For Freddie’s haircut, there was no gown, Dad was close by to brush away the loose hairs (we call him the fluffer 😉), and we worked at a pace that feels right.
I chose to do no voice over and keep it real, the little sounds you can hear aren’t edited out they’re simply part of how Freddie experiences his haircut.
Can you hear him matching the sound of the clippers 🥹
There isn’t one “right” way to have a haircut.
If it takes a little more patience, a few adjustments, or a different approach, that’s completely okay.

Haircuts should be accessible to everyone, it’s a life skill and I’m incredibly grateful to have earned the trust of families who know they can come as they are. 💙

What does your haircut experience look like?

POV: he didn’t want to miss sports day.

children aren’t always angels, they’re humans with emotions, and my chair is a place where they can feel safe and unfiltered. This little boy was so SHY when I first met him, he now feels safe in my space to say what’s really on his mind.
And only having 1-1 appointments allows everybody to be themselves.

Building these relationships in the salon are important, even my own child I allow him to express how he’s truely feeling with no consequences because sometimes frustration needs to come out in other words to make you feel better and I know that myself even as a adult😂

He did do his 30 minute sports day then cried to go home with mummy after 🩷🙃

I HAD to reshare this.
What a JOURNEY it has been.
Norman has been an absolute legend when it’s come to my little rant about highlift tint.
To be honest highlift tint still isn’t something I’m offering out day to day but I definitely feel a lot more confident to use it when the right clients come in for it.
AND I promise to be a lot more open minded 😉
Love my naughty 💜

Im still intrigued to know how many people LOVE/HATE highlift Tony so please vote below and let me know your experiences with it good or bad!

If anybody booked in this week wants to rearrange due to the weather then it’s fine it’s not fun for me either 😂

The heart means “I LOVE/AGREE with this.”

The comment means “I have thoughts let’s talk about it.”

But this ARROW means ????

“Everyone come and look at this.”
The only question is whether they’re sharing it because they love it... or because they’re absolutely raging and thinking who is this woman 😂

The irony is wild.

A hairdresser with YEARS of experience gets grilled over their prices daily.

Yet people are happy handing over £200 for Botox without question from someone who qualified yesterday.

Decades of skill? Apparently too expensive. One-day training course? Take my money.
MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!

POV: you make a video saying you hate highlift tint and then Norman, the ultimate king of highlift tint sends you his 101 book😂

Honestly it’s a great read, have i converted to highlift tint? Absolutely not.

But I have promised that when the correct client comes through the door I will be there with confidence and a more open mind.

Until then I’m still in a secure relationship with bleach and k18✌️
What’s your relationship like with highlift tint?
