That cheap Botox deal probably doesn’t feel so appealing now …

This is in no way victim shaming , people tend to trust people who call themselves ‘ aesthetic practitioners’ or ‘ aesthetic specialist’ why wouldn’t you ?! The government in the UK have allowed it to go on for so long why wouldn’t people assume it’s not ALL safe practice.

Last week in the U.K an ‘aesthetic beautician’ left one woman fighting for her life and several others seriously ill in hospital after injecting them with fake Botox.

This is just another tragic example of why the aesthetic industry is finally cracking down …. IF ITS CHEAP , ITS CHEAP FOR A REASON !

Risks can happen to any practitioner medical or non medical and to any patient . To minimise these risk please make sure you are

* Having a face to face consultation with the prescriber of the Toxin.

* Your injector has experience with facial anatomy and can manage complications should they arise.

* Your injector is trained by a credible facility in administering injectable treatments.

* You feel comfortable and safe hands with your injector , do they have a medical background?

* Lastly ,, if it’s cheap , why is it cheap ? I can assure you REAL , AUTHENTIC , MEDICALLY APPROVED TOXIN IS NOT CHEAP.

Omg so let’s talk about another incredible HIFU Jawline and neck result !

Since the 1st June 2025 remote prescribing for injectable products have been banned. This includes’ Botox , B12 , vitamins , adrenaline , lidocaine … this means a face to face consultation with a MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL is required BY LAW before any treatment with prescription medication can be given. This is to try eliminate unsafe aesthetic practice.

Recently I have been inundated with non medical injectors requesting I prescribe Botox and other various prescription medication such as B12 for them to administer to their patients. This makes me wonder where they have been getting the medication from in the 1st place as most of them have been offering these services for years 🙄.

Reasons I don’t prescribe for other practitioners.

1) PATIENT SAFETY
Medicine is rooted in legal and regulatory frameworks designed to ensure patient safety and maintain professional standards. In the UK ‘ BOTOX’ is a prescription only medication. This means it can ONLY be prescribed by a QUALIFIED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, such as a doctor , dentist , nurse prescriber , prescribing pharmacist , who ALL need to have taken the extra training in administering Botox.

2) NOT legally INSURED. Most insurance companies have made a stance with the NMC and do not offer cover for their practitioners to remotely prescribe for non medical practitioners.

3) ACCOUNTABILITY.
The prescriber of the medication is accountable for the treatment being carried out. No finical gain would meet the amount of hard work I have put in to become a nurse prescriber and potentially risk my livelihood.

4) PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
Administering medication involves a MEDICAL PROCEDURE and requires a strong understanding of anatomy , aseptic techniques and potential complications. Non medical personnel often lack the extensive medical background and rigorous training that a licensed medical professional possesses. This may lead to increased faulty procedures, adverse outcomes and an inability to manage complications effectively.
