Attention to my beautiful loyal clients.
This post finds me in an emotional place so please know it comes from a place of sadness, pain and huge deliberation for months, maybe even years.
I have decided hairdressing will no longer be my primary career.
As most of you know i picked up a part time job at the start of the year, partly to get out the house, partly to be part of a team again and lastly to see if it was hairdressing that increased my body discomfort. All have benefited me hugely.
I was diagnosed this year with shoulder impingement, osteoarthritis in my neck and spine (and likely hips tests pending) I to add to it they suspect have fibromyalgia. My body hurts and I fear if I continue how I’m going I’ll be crippled in my later life so I need to change now while I can.
Therefore my working structure will change in the coming weeks. I’m not entirely sure what that’ll look like yet but it will mean hugely reduced working hours, minimal late nights and more flexibility for working weeks. Set days are meaning I feel like I can’t be off sick as my diary is booked so far in advance and that’s crazy! (Yet I’ve been hugely grateful for that too)
I know this won’t suit everyone so I have a few people I can recommend if you need to go elsewhere. (Please know I would love to stay in touch and I’m happy to pass on formulas for colours should this be required) there will be no hard feelings!
I will do my best to accommodate but to be fair to everyone I will only pre book one appointment in advance with the understanding this may need to be changed.
I have valued so many of you for loyalty, trust and patience for so many years and have loved growing families, sharing life experiences and hair journeys with you. You have become what I consider friends so please if you do need to relocate, stay in touch!

My little salon is open again today! Just a gentle reminder of my new working hours. Book early or in advance to avoid disappointment as the slots are filling fast.

Also I have finally moved over to the paper diary so there will be no more reminders sent out, so please make a note of your appointments can always check when they are if you are not sure

Please also note there will be reduced hours over school holidays! I trust you will understand my babies are growing too fast so I don’t want to miss the precious time with them

Note for parents (and even some adults!!!)

Is anyone having issues with getting their little girls to have their hair cut as they want it to grow long like rupunzel?
If so show them my daughter’s beautiful hair and explain this….(simple language!)
Old hair that isn’t trimmed regularly will split and when it does that, it starts to cut itself. We have no say then in how much is cut and it will be all different lengths
If you have regular trims to take off the see through ends or broken ends, the hair will grow long and healthy like this!
Izzie has her hair cut every 8-12 weeks, we take off 3 inches every other hair cut and about an inch otherwise. She uses heat protector and takes good care of it when brushing washing and uses occasional treatments.

Birthday girl glow up!
From black hair, we did a light balayage to create a morning chocolate brown and then added 20” genius weave extensions with a blond/brown mix to create a multi tonal and overall lighter effect minus the damage to her natural hair! :) love love love!
