🚨 Public health notice – Langdown Stream, Hythe 🚨

The Langdown Stream, which runs from Dibden Purlieu through Foxtail Drive and Dukeswood Drive down to the Shore Road recreation ground, has been found to have dangerously high E.coli levels. Testing near Dukeswood Drive recorded readings of 21 and 35 times the safe bathing limit.

The water looks clear, but it isn’t safe. Please don’t let dogs drink from the stream or children play in it.

Results are still being gathered and a report with the full data sent to the Environment Agency as soon as it’s complete.
