The landscaper and the tree surgeons were lopping off the two giant trees at the end of the garden today as we headed away for a few days.

I’m excited to come home and see the results. Operation move Organically Epic to the fancy garden shed is coming along nicely.

I’ve taken my little family away for a few days to Whitstable. A caravan jaunt.

We’ve already spent over an hour in the pool, swam in the sea (heaven) and had dinner. By that point the smallest was definitely overstimulated so we are now back in the caravan.

It’s only a few days but I’m very much looking forward to leisurely roaming the local area and spending time with my kiddos and husband.

Project garden move starts this week.

New beginnings and new growth both metaphorically and physically.

We've got to get a giant sycamore tree cut back, remove two small trees, cut back w**ds, knot w**d, take a wall down, put a new one up and a gate, level out the back of the garden ready for concrete and putting the shed up.

All with very little access for machinery, these old Victorian Terrace houses are a nightmare to renovate because of the lack of access at the back. We've got a very overgrown alleyway out the back which will be getting cleared a little for this all to happen.

It's more work than I thought it would be, I'm sad the two trees are going but one is half dead and they take up too much room at the back.

I'll be adding pollinator loving plants and small carbon capturing trees in over the next few years in the rest of the garden.

Being more intentional with planting going forward is a must.

I'll show you the finished result as soon as it's done and stock is moved in.

We got back from an absolutely manic, fun, frazzling weekend at Alton Towers late last night.

Why Jayne? Why? I hear you say. Well, I have one kid that loves theme parks and another kid that loves water parks so we try to go once a year if we can. It's very un me. Loud, scary, queues, stress, heat, to. many. people.

But it is also damn good fun.

I too love a roller coaster and a water park, so it's as much for me as it them.

But, today it's coffee and back to the day job. Happily waving of the family at home for a full day working for someone else is quite delightful tbh.
