DRAGON RIDE 2026 DONE!

A huge thank you to everyone who sponsored, donated, supported, encouraged and followed my journey in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. The support has been incredible, and I’m genuinely grateful to every single person who got behind me.

The ride itself was epic. Brutal at times, but epic. The Welsh roads and climbs certainly lived up to their reputation and tested me from start to finish.

The route delivered exactly what the Dragon Ride is known for – relentless climbs, stunning scenery and a real test of endurance. While my ride ultimately finished on the Medio Fondo route, I crossed the line knowing I’d taken on one of the toughest cycling events in the UK and given it everything on the day.

Most importantly, thanks to your generosity we’ve raised an incredible £2,690 for Macmillan Cancer Support – smashing the original target and reaching 537% of the fundraising goal.

🐉💚 For those of you who know my husband Matthew, you’ll know that he has the kindest heart — and it’s no surprise that he chose to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support by taking on the Dragon Ride

He set off in the early hours this morning, and will be covering miles through some of the most beautiful — and gruelling — Welsh countryside, and I couldn’t be more proud of him.

As many of you know, Peluka Salon | Wigs, Toppers & Custom Services works closely with those undergoing cancer treatment, and the support Macmillan provides — to patients and to the families around them — is truly immeasurable. Every pound raised makes a real difference to real people, and that means everything to us.

We’re currently at £2,500 raised — which is incredible — but it would mean the world to reach £3,000 by the end of today. If you’re able to donate even a little, or simply share this post, it all adds up.

🐉Yesterday we made the six-hour journey up to Wales ahead of my Dragon Ride for Macmillan Cancer Support 💚

The car was packed and repacked, the bags were packed and repacked, the bike was checked and rechecked — everything we need is ready to go!

We’ve woken up to a beautiful morning in Wales. The weather is being kind, and I’m as ready as I’ll ever be!

Thank you so much to everybody for all your donations so far — I think we’re up to £2,380, which is an incredible amount given my target originally was £500. It would be amazing if we could get that up to £3,000 for Macmillan.
