Hello September! The start of the ‘ber months

Hurtling into the back end of the year and ready for back to school and new routines and chaos to start back up again. Not going to lie I’m sort of ready for some structure after a whirlwind summer!

I’ve been terrible on here lately with lots of plates spinning in the background as always and a very uncertain few weeks for my gang with a family member being extremely unwell. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who’s been understanding of changes and times I’ve needed to be away from salon during this ongoing period, your kindness and support hasn’t gone unnoticed and I really do appreciate your patience when sorting appointments back out and just generally checking in on my wellbeing during this difficult time 🩷

Here’s hoping for a little more normality going forward! And a little breathing space for one very frazzled little old me 🫶🏻 onwards and upwards and I’ll try not to be so useless this month! Times like this is a double edged sword- on one hand i’m incredibly grateful that I’m self employed and have the flexibility to adapt work to suit my home life and health needs but in the same breath theres only me and one set of hands with no one else to fall back on (although my colleagues are an incredible support 🫶🏻)

HELLO AUGUST! and hello chaos 🤣 I crave the break in routine every year for the kids being off school but it always brings its own side dish of craziness to a new six week routine 🫶🏻 LOVE them being home more but it doesn’t half amplify the mum guilt when you’re working and making alternative plans for them on some of the days. Striking the balance is hard 🫠 and very fortunate that my regulars are flexible with me around my home life- and for that I thank you 🩷

I’m out of salon for a well deserved break with my gang from the 8th- 17th August 🫶🏻 other than that normal service continues!

I’ve been really slacking on opening my September diary whilst I navigate the changes ahead with my youngest starting secondary school and homelife routine about to be changing again. Please appreciate that when opening the floodgates for appointments it takes A LOT of time and logistics this end and I want to get it right with as minimal back and forth messaging to avoid confusion 🫶🏻 last time I checked there was over 100 of you lovely lot that book regularly with me and that’s a lot of admin to do when making routine appointments going forward to Christmas… yes I said it! CHRISTMAS 🎅🏻 🎄 🎁 I’m planning so far to keep my working days the same (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday) but there may be a small tweak to my working hours and as always evening availability is extremely limited, please bear this in mind when requesting slots! Those who can come during the day it’s always appreciated leaving evening slots available for those whose work hours clash with mine 🩷 people pleaser mode engaged and I hate letting anyone down!
