Why I started making soap, wax melts and candles

It all began during lockdown. Stuck here all day with two equally bored friends, we soon decided that making, and eating, cakes everyday wasn’t doing much for our figures!

One of these friends showed me some videos of her mother in Brazil making some amazing looking soaps and I was totally inspired and so it began. I watched every video I could about soap making on YouTube and my adventure into discovering a love of fragrance and essential oils started.

I loved the process of making soap and I loved the fragrances, and it wasn’t long before I realised that a lot of the equipment and ingredients used for soap making could also be used for making scented candles and wax melts. So I started to make them too.

I soon had enough soap and wax melts to last a lifetime, so I started to give them away to friends, family and my AirBnB guest and, surprisingly quickly, people started to ask me where they could buy more.

So, here I am, three years later taking the huge and slightly frightening step of launching an online shop.
