Sometimes it’s hard to explain what can happen to hair after multiple uncontrolled chemical treatments.

We often see compromised hair sitting in our chair. Box dyes, repeated colouring, straightening treatments, perms, excessive heat styling and chemical services all have the potential to create structural breakdown within the hair.

As stylists, we can only work with the hair that’s in front of us. While we can improve the look, feel and condition of the hair, there isn’t always a quick fix. Once the internal structure has been significantly compromised, it cannot be fully restored to its original state.

When assessing long hair, we’re often looking at a history that stretches back 18 months or more. With shorter hair, we’re usually evaluating the previous 6–8 months of chemical and mechanical stress. Every service, every product and every decision made at home contributes to the overall condition of the hair.

We can absolutely help you achieve your desired result, but maintaining that result requires a partnership. Following professional aftercare advice, using the correct products and avoiding unnecessary chemical experimentation between appointments all play a huge role in preserving the integrity of your hair.

When hair becomes dry, brittle, fades quickly or struggles to hold colour, it’s often a reflection of the hair’s condition rather than the colour service itself.

Please remember that your stylist invests years into education, ongoing training, product knowledge and research to give you the best possible outcome. We can improve, protect and support the hair, but unfortunately we cannot reverse structural damage once it has occurred.

Healthy hair isn’t created in a single appointment—it’s built through consistency, care and informed choices both in the salon and at home. ✨

Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been moving house (in the midst of the heat wave, it was a LOT🫣) so my brain has been everywhere lately but it’s much more settled now, thank the lord!

Alternatively, you can always call the salon as the girls have my diary available to them🥰

A lot of you will have seen Sadie’s hair feature plenty of times on my page so here’s another creation of ours! 🤩🩷

Sadie wanted to start the process of slowly removing her black colour blocks so we lifted them up gently and got her to a lighter level which I then coloured with a lighter base & a red tone to flow with the plans for the vivid colours and then channeled our inner tequila sunrise and went for an orange root melting into fushia mids & ends with a pop of silver at the front of her hair😍✨

This has to be one of my favourites of our hair art over the years! Thankyou Sadie for your trust, as always I love having you in my chair🫶🏼🩷

Blonde Bombshell!✨

This client had been going to a different salon and came to me wanting to feel blonder with less warmth and we definitely managed to get her there!🤩

Lots of foils, toner and cut later and she left the salon feeling confident and beautiful with her new hair!🥰✨

Gorgeous rich colour change for a lovely client of mine, we didn’t want anything too drastic but for there to still be a noticeable difference!🤎
