A huge THANK YOU to everyone who takes the time to complete our feedback forms! 🐴❤️

Your feedback helps us check in after treatments and saddle fits, monitor progress, and ensure your horse is feeling and performing at their best.

It also gives you the opportunity to highlight any concerns you'd like us to investigate at your next appointment.

Have you checked out my story? .... if not take a look before it dissapears.

My client called me explaining her horse had been out of sorts for a few days, luckily I have worked with this clients horses very closely and she understands when the horse is trying to communicate with her this is what we found ;

🐴Bridling resistance
🐎Increased irritability
🤯Field reactivity
😡Frustration responses

During bodywork sessions, visible fascial release patterns can occasionally appear as bumps, ridges or raised lines beneath the skin.

These areas often correspond with regions that have been working harder to compensate for restriction elsewhere.

While bodywork isn't a magic fix, it can help us identify areas of tension that may be influencing comfort, movement and performance.

Behaviour is communication. Movement is communication. The body often tells us far more than we realise.

🐴 Why Does DB Equine Use 100% Jacobs Wool Flocking? 🐴

When it comes to saddle fit, what's inside the panel matters just as much as the saddle itself.

At DB Equine, we're proud to work with saddles that use 100% Jacobs Wool flocking. This premium British wool offers excellent shock absorption, moulds comfortably to your horse's shape, and helps distribute pressure more evenly across the back.

✅ Naturally breathable
✅ Excellent pressure distribution
✅ Adapts to changes in muscle development
✅ Helps maintain comfort during work
✅ Easily adjusted to support ongoing saddle fit

Horses change shape throughout the year due to work, age, fitness, and seasonal factors. Wool flocking allows us to make precise adjustments, helping your saddle continue to support your horse correctly.

A well-fitting saddle isn't just about the tree and the leather you can see—it's also about the materials working underneath to keep your horse comfortable and performing at their best.

Have you ever wondered what's inside your saddle panels? Feel free to ask at your next appointment!

What does the hammering do?

We get asked this alot ....

🔹 Settles the wool fibres After new wool has been added or moved around inside the panel, the fibres can sit quite loosely. Gentle tapping helps the wool settle naturally and fill voids.

🔹 Removes air pockets Freshly inserted wool can trap small pockets of air. Tapping encourages the fibres to knit together more evenly, reducing the risk of soft spots and uneven pressure.

🔹 Creates a smoother panel surface The hammering helps spread the wool evenly across the width of the panel, reducing ridges, lumps and inconsistent density.

🔹 Allows Debbie to assess the flocking After tapping, she will usually run her hands over the panel again. What feels smooth before settling can sometimes reveal a lump or hollow once the wool has bedded down.

🔗 Why One Practitioner Works Best

Multiple professionals = fragmented data.

One practitioner assessing:

• Saddle interaction
• Muscle response
• Bit & bridle influence

allows patterns to be recognised across systems — leading to clearer decisions and more effective interventions.

🧠 Why One Practitioner Matters

Using separate professionals can mean mixed advice and missed connections.

When saddle fitting, massage therapy, and bit & bridle fitting are assessed together, we can:

✅️ See how posture affects saddle fit
✅️ Identify muscle restrictions influencing contact
✅️Ensure tack works with the horse, not against them
✅️ Better value for money

🐎One experienced practitioner = clearer answers and better outcomes & value for money

🐴 The season is now in full swing and you may have noticed I've been a little quieter on social media recently!

That's because I've been out and about doing what I love most – helping to keep my clients' horses and ponies feeling comfortable, performing at their best, and staying in tip-top condition throughout the busy competition and riding season.

It's been fantastic to see so many of you out competing, training, hacking, and enjoying your horses. Whether you're aiming for rosettes or simply enjoying quality time together, it's always rewarding to be part of your journey.

📸 If you're out and about this season, don't forget to tag DB Equine Therapy in your photos, videos, and social media posts. I love seeing what my clients are up to and celebrating your successes, big or small!

Thank you for keeping me busy and for trusting me to be part of your horse's care team.

See you all out and about soon!
