Colour refresh and restyle 🍂✂️

As much as I love doing major colour transformations and vivids sometimes there’s nothing better then a simple colour refresh and a restyle and tidy up

All my client (also my granny 🥰 ) wanted today was a subtle change of colour aswell as going shorter for less maintenance as her hair can be quite strong with how it wants to sit so taking it shorter and adding some layers will definitely make styling easier for her every morning

6 months of cl hair

As many of you know, 6 months ago I started the journey of going self employed and I’ve got to say what a journey!

Being self employed has always been a scary step, so many what ifs, but 6 months later I wouldn’t look back, I love where I am and I love what I do.

There’s been so many ups and downs, I’ve completed so many achievements but I’ve also struggled behind the scenes. These last 6 months have possibly been the hardest, with struggling how to balance a work/home life. I’ve also really struggled with my health too and trying to figure out when I need to stop and rest, it has been a huge learning curve…. however it has also driven me to keep going .

I think my biggest milestone though has definitely been my award, yes even though I didn’t win or get 2nd place, I received a top recognition which was still an achievement and a push to keep going

These last 6 months have been hard, but have been the best 6 months of my career and I can’t wait for what’s next. With some exciting news to come in January, my journey is only just beginning 🥰

So I’ve kept a secret this week that I’m now excited to share 🥰

I am incredibly proud to announce that I am a HBA Finalist!!

I had so many doubts entering this awards after seeing all the amazing winners from this year but to hear that I’ve made it as a finalist representing spalding this is such a amazing achievement for myself and I would just like to say a huge thank you to my amazing clients and also my work family for the amazing support these last 6 months ❤️

I still remember my first ever wedding hair like it was yesterday 😬

I’d not long qualified and the nerves were real 😅

There’s something about doing someone’s hair on one of the biggest days of their life that feels like a LOT of pressure….and it is!
But stepping out of my comfort zone that day changed everything for me.

It reminded me that you only get better by challenging yourself.
Now, wedding hair feels like a real treat. I still get butterflies, but I’ve learned to sit in that feeling because it means I care.
