So my lupus is SLE which means it effects everything, it’s systemic, joints, organs, skin etc
My infusions have really helped with joints, swelling, fatigue, ulcers and many other things but seemingly the Lupus is still in ‘attack flare mode’. It’s classed as skin lupus and it’s very inflamed and my hair loss is bad

A new medication given and some ointments to help soothe but it’s going to take some time - oh and it will also give me a slight yellow tinge to all my skin and might make me feel sick and headachey too 🙄

So if you see me yellowy and bald please just be kind and just because I ‘look well and I’m just trying to enjoy life, my bodies still doing me a dirty 😤

I’m now on holiday and return to work Monday 13th JULY

MEET GINA 💗

For those who don’t know me, I’m Gina, founder of Gelesse.

I’ve been part of the nail industry since the 1990s and have been lucky enough to experience so many different chapters of this incredible industry.

Over the years I’ve written a monthly column for Scratch Magazine, exhibited at beauty shows across the UK, worked with thousands of nail technicians and built a professional nail brand that has been supplying nail techs since 2008.

Alongside running Gelesse, I’ve also been raising three children. Like many working parents, there were times when family quite rightly came first, and the business took a small step back while I focused on those important years.

Now my youngest is nearly 18, I’m excited to be throwing myself back into Gelesse and the nail industry I love.

Today, Gelesse offers over 400 gel colours, builder gels, hard gels and professional nail systems trusted by nail technicians across the UK, but the values behind the brand haven’t changed.

I still believe professional nail products should be beautiful, reliable and accessible, without the luxury price tag.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Gelesse over the years. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or have only recently discovered us, I’m so pleased you’re here.
