A little post to introduce myself. Hello, I’m Gemma.

I currently work within the NHS as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) in the Emergency Department. I am a nurse by background with over 10 years experience in acute and critical care, offering my clients the assurance that they are in safe hands.

Aesthetics has been an interest and ambition of mine since the beginning of my career. Having recently qualified as a nurse prescriber and aesthetically trained, it gives me great pleasure to offer independent client centred care.

My passion is to deliver a service for natural enhancements, helping clients to achieve the best versions of themselves!

We will still be working on an appointment only basis, we will still be carrying out our strict cleaning and sterilising policies.
The front door will still be locked so please try to turn up at your appointment time and not too early.

After a lot of thought we have decided that we will be continuing with our safety guidelines in the Salon. This will be reviewed at the end of august.

Our main priority is keeping us all safe and right now we do not feel comfortable going back to “normal”. We want to protect you and ourselves so after the 19th of July we are asking all clients to continue to wear your masks,so will your stylists and therapist. We will keep our appointment only basis and will be cleaning and sterilising as normal.

We will be waiting until the remaining team members have had there second dose so we are fully protected.

We hope you all understand as we know it is annoying but our safety and yours is our greatest priority 💕

Anthony added a little bit of spice to this gorgeous blonde!

Did you know pink is our number one recommendation if you’re feeling a little sassy and want to do something crazy with no commitments? Why pink? Because pink will completely wash off between 1 to 10 washes depending on the intensity of it.

Would you dare to go pink? 😉💕

Here’s a perfect example of the progress from black box colour to a natural blonde.
Maintaining the hair integrity was the upmost important thing in this blonde hair journey. Our client here was supper lucky with achieving this in only 3 sessions, but bare in mind we started this back in November last year! With a lot of patience and hours sat on the salon chair, plus the added time a for at home treatments this was slowly possible.
Let’s not forget the cost of something like this doesn’t come cheap, going blonde isn’t a commitment, it’s a lifestyle change!

As you all know here at Mirror Mirror we are committed to bringing you the best salon experience possible, choosing to use the best products available and the latest techniques. To stay committed to these values, we will be introducing a new pricing structure.

Certain aspects of colouring will have a more notable cost increase based on time, techniques and product cost. For example a balayage with a root shadow takes more product and more time.

We have been avoiding this for a while for the fear of upsetting anyone, but since we’ve only ever put our prices up once in the last 6 years we believe now is the time more than ever.

Thank you for understanding our need to introduce this price increase. We appreciate your support and loyalty through these crazy times.

Once we have the go ahead to reopen your stylist will be in touch to talk you through the new pricing and arrange your appointment. 🤞🏼 x

There’s recently been a lot of changes within the hairdressing industry regarding the Allergy alert test, formally know as a skin test.

It’s likely that all our clients will need a new AAT 48hrs before their next colour. We currently can not offer to do an allergy alert test until we are legally aloud to work, meaning that we will not be aloud to do any colour services in the first couple of days of opening.

We’re a team of 5 self employed stylists with 5 different insurance policies, with different AAT protocols and requirements.

We’re currently working out a new protocol to try our best to suit everyone.

If you live far away and visiting the salon 48hr before your colour service isn’t feasible there might be a different option for you. We’ll be able to post an annual allergy alert test straight to your door at a cost of £15.

We understand that this might be an inconvenience, but your safety is our priority.

Once we have a new plan of action we’ll be in touch.

We cannot wait to see you all and fix those roots and the dreaded split ends!! X

Here we are again in a national lockdown, to be honest I think we all were expecting it. Unfortunately our doors will remain closed.

We will be waiting to hear news that we can re open before we start re booking you all in again. If any of you would like any advice or even a catch up ... we are here. This is a difficult time for us all.

We are hoping to return and not have too many hair disasters to fix. Please resist home dying.. we are still fixing them from the last lockdowns. 🙈

💙Welcome to the world Jacob George Law💙

Jacob was born on Friday the 6th November at 10.28am weighing 3.39 kg. 12 days overdue... he must have been too comfortable in his mummy’s tummy.. luckily Ed was able to be at her side throughout the birth.

Tam we are so so proud of you... you have taken to motherhood so naturally... Jacob is absolutely perfect in every way and we cannot wait for you all to see him. I’m sure when lockdown is over tam will be in and out of the salon showing him off. 💙

Feeling a little emotional shutting the salon doors tonight.

We will not be booking any clients in until we get a definite date of being able to return. (Just incase Boris extends it).

Last night we were told the time has come to close our doors yet again.

Luckily we were all together (minus our still heavily pregnant tam) and drank through the news.

As it stands all December appointments will stay the same. Any clients that are going to miss there November appointment during lockdown and does not have a December appointment .. We will do everything we can to get you all booked in. We will be working day and night to get you Christmas ready for your party’s of 6!

We will re open them doors on Wednesday the 2nd of December and continue to keep you all safe.
