❤️ IMPORTANT UPDATE — MY SITUATION & OPERATION DATE ❤️
A lot of you already know that last Tuesday I was unexpectedly rushed into hospital and then blue-lighted to Salford Royal for emergency surgery on my stomach and small intestine.
It’s been quite a week! I’ve been in hospital ever since fighting infections, but thankfully I’m now well and truly on the mend. My feeding tubes and drains have all been removed, and I’m managing to eat small amounts little and often. 🥰
The doctors are genuinely amazed at how quickly I’ve turned things around since being admitted, and I’ve been incredibly lucky that I haven’t needed to be in hospital for months with what happened. I’m feeling stronger every day, and I’m so grateful to be able to write this update. ❤️

Unfortunately, this unexpected surgery means my double mastectomy and reconstruction will now have to be put on the back burner while the doctors investigate exactly what has caused this to happen.
I’m absolutely gutted, as you can imagine. It’s been something I’ve been preparing myself for and looking forward to getting done, so having it delayed is incredibly disappointing. But, at the same time, I’m very aware of how lucky I am — and right now, getting myself fully better has to come first. 🙏🏼
I’m hoping to be discharged tomorrow or Thursday and will need to take at least a week to properly rest and recover at home. After that, I’ll be building myself back up gradually.

📅 IMPORTANTLY FOR MY CLIENTS:
I will NOT be going off at the end of September now, as my surgery has been postponed.
This means appointments will continue as normal throughout the rest of the year until I’m given a new date for my operation.
I’ve opened my diary from the date I expect to be back working, so if you’d like an appointment, please book online or text me as normal. ❤️

One little change for now — massages will have to take a temporary break while I build my strength back up. Only for a couple of weeks!! My body has clearly decided it needs a little timeout before I start throwing people around again! 😂
But you know me… I’ll be fighting fit in no time and back to doing what I love. 💪🏼❤️

Little life update 💕
My surgery for my double mastectomy with DIEP reconstruction has been pushed back to July, potentially August, due to emergency cases being prioritised — which of course is completely understandable 💗
So for now, I’ll still be here working through June and July until I get my official date! ✨
Please make sure to book your treatments in advance through June & July to avoid disappointment, as I’ll be squeezing in lots of extra hours to fit everyone in before I disappear for recovery mode 🫶🏼

I wanted to share a little life update with you all.
When I was 25, I found out that I carry the BRCA1 gene. I’ve known ever since finding out that I would take the route of preventative surgery to give myself to best chance of avoiding the Big C! In June (date to be confirmed) I’ll be having a double mastectomy with DIEP reconstruction.

Because of the surgery and recovery, Lptotalholisticandbeauty will be closed for a minimum of 6 weeks when I get the date for surgery in June. I’m hoping everything goes swimmingly and I will be back in no time!
It’s not an easy step, but it’s the right decision for my long-term health, and I’m determined to come back stronger and ready to pamper you all again as soon as I can.
If you’ve been thinking about booking an appointment, please try to get booked in before the beginning of June to avoid disappointment. I’ll also be opening up extra working days throughout May wherever possible so I can fit in as many of you as I can before I take some time off.
