The end of an era 🤍

After eight years, September will mark my final month working in Nottingham city centre, with my last appointments taking place on the 12th & 13th September.

Nottingham is where Lottie Kidd Hair really began. Where I found myself as a hairdresser, built my business and somehow ended up with the most unbelievably loyal clientele I could ever have wished for.

Some of you have quite literally followed me from pillar to post. You’ve travelled from London, Cornwall, Scotland, Denmark and just about every corner of the country to sit in my chair! And one of you has even flown me to where you are to make sure you didn’t miss your extension maintenance appointment! That kind of loyalty and trust has never gone unnoticed.

But the loveliest part of the last eight years hasn’t really been the hair, It’s been getting to do life alongside you.

I’ve heard about the first dates and then done the wedding hair. I’ve sat through the break-ups and heard about the person who came next. There have been graduations, new jobs, engagements, marriages, pregnancies, babies and all the completely ordinary bits of life in between.

Somewhere along the way, so many clients became friends. I’ve watched so many of you grow up, and you’ve watched me do exactly the same.

So while this is the end of my Nottingham chapter, it doesn’t have to be the end of ours. I’ll still be behind the chair at The Hair Lab and would genuinely love to continue looking after those of you who want to make the journey.

To everyone who has ever sat in my Nottingham chair, whether it was once or every six weeks for eight years, thank you. For trusting me with your hair, your stories and so many chapters of your lives.

I’m so grateful you were part of my story, and even more grateful I got to be part of yours. 🤍

Same girl. Same day. A completely different head of hair.
We said goodbye to compromised blonde, brought her back to the most gorgeous brunette and added length + fullness with extensions — and I genuinely cannot get over the result.
The blend. The shine. The fact you’d never know where her hair ends and the extensions begin?!
