The scalp tells you where extensions should and should not sit… if you know how to read it.

Hair doesn’t grow uniformly across the scalp which means placement cannot simply follow a repeated pattern everywhere on every scalp. Areas that naturally separate or move differently need careful assessment so that extensions sit with the hair rather than against it.
When natural movement is ignored, tension often builds over time and the install begins to lose comfort, balance and natural lay.

If you don’t know how to read a scalp, reach out because it’s important you do 👌🏼

No two scalps respond in exactly the same way, which is why placement sometimes needs adapting even when the method itself remains correct.
Sensitive areas, natural growth patterns and client comfort all influence where and how extensions should sit.
Protecting comfort never weakens the result, it strengthens long-term wear.

Clients with sensitive scalps often need a more considered approach. If you don’t know how to adapt strategically and safely to all scalps, book a suitability call with me to see if the refinement intensive is for you🤍

As extensions grow, they often reveal more than the original install ever did.
Direction, tension and section balance all begin to show themselves over time. Which is why an install that looks fine initially, can still create issues later.
Grow-out often tells the real story of how the hair was placed and whether the original mechanics were working with the scalp or against it.

If you’re finding your clients grow-outs are working against the mechanics, send me a message ✌🏼

Sneaky double crowns 👀

My client came to me wanting longer hair, pretty standard request and an easy colour to match too 👌🏼
But if you swipe through to the video, you’ll see a disguised double crown. Some are super obvious but as you can see, you wouldn’t think the first one is. A crown makes the hair go in a certain direction and if you have two, even a disguised one, can affect the way we fit the hair extensions to make sure there’s nothing on show. Another reason why a consultation is so important!

My client opted for the weave, and during the fitting I adjusted the usual method to suit her hair needs. We did 3 rows, the top row being split to fit the sides and hidden around her double crown. What an absolute dream of a client! 🤍🤩

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a transformation so here you go!

Guest Brief:
- enhance the blonde
- longer length
- natural thickness

We went with three packs of 20” tape hair extensions in two blonde shades - 1001 & 18/22 for a seamless finish. My wonderful guest wanted her hair styled straight which I love because you can see just how beautiful it blends.

This colour is the ultimate dream colour, am I right? 🤤

The root drag makes a difference to the entire fitting. Swipe to see ➡️
Now imagine the bright end colour sitting at the root of my clients hair, it just wouldn’t be a good look would it?🫣

If you’d like a root added to your extensions, let me know - I got you ✌🏼

3 packs of Nano weft fitted in 20” colour 31 with a custom root drag added.

What do you think?💭

They said it couldn’t be done!

My absolute beaut of a client told me that at other consultations she had, they said “your hair is way too short for hair extensions” and I wasn’t about to let her feel defeated. She wanted dream hair & that’s exactly what I gave her.

The nano weft isn’t messing around with this one! 5 packs & a mixture of shades = perfect blend 👌🏼

Let me know what you think 👇

When I tell you I didn’t learn the traditional way of doing hair extensions, does that freak you out or intrigue you?

Hi, I’m Kellie and I am here to help you take that first step to get the hair you’ve been dreaming about and support you all the way.

I was self-taught ten years ago and for the first three of them I was doing hair extensions for family and friends whilst completing a degree in Psychology. Now I have a business I’m very proud of, two beautiful daughters and we have a lil dashy called Daisy. I work in a small space in my home so doggy cuddles are available!

Working with clients on their hair journey and being an educator for others to learn the amazing skills, I’ve developed a real view of the challenges and emotions that we all face when it comes to our hair.
You are not alone.

There’s one thing that you have to know about me and that is I will try my damn hardest to create the hair transformation you come to me for.
BUT
This may only happen in the future - it all depends on the condition and length of your natural hair!

I care a great f*cking deal about hair health. And because of that, your hair journey will always be at the forefront of my mind. I don’t do BS so if I know it’s going to take time to go from mid-length extensions to 28” ones, you best believe I’ll tell you - I am super upfront about what your hair needs and I know how to get it to where you want it to be.

If you are still thinking “I’m not sure I can have hair extensions” or “I’m not sure I’m ready yet”, don’t panic!
Your hair journey starts way before having extensions fitted, so if you are just not at that stage yet, we can begin by reassessing your hair care routine alongside other factors at a consultation. You absolutely can make changes so that you can have the hair that you want most - I can help you get to this point. 🤍
