2022 has been my best year artistically and that’s how I’d like to remember it.
I’ve been quiet on here for a while now, just to reassure you I’m totally fine ☺️ however I have now gone back into employment, as after a very busy spring summer I went very quiet (totally understandable with cost of living etc)
What this means is I have very limited availability for 2023 as my ‘brow’ hours are much reduced.
If you are already booked in don’t worry - your appointment will be honoured.
My diary is currently closed as I am honouring existing bookings, if you want to be added to my waitlist please let me know.
Other local artists I highly recommend considering if I can’t see you are
Happy New Year to you all and thank you for your support and understanding.
With love,
Susan xx

My favourite types of brows…. Dusty, delicate and undetectable
Top tips for working on delicate/mature skin:
1. Work light! If you see bruising switch to a shader needle
2. Use a warmer, lighter pigment mix instead of cool and dark… they will flatter the complexion much more
3. Expect high retention levels… don’t oversaturate the skin as this skin type can hold on to the majority of colour over the healing period. They can also heal darker at times hence working light with a warmer lighter mix.
4. Consider long term - I generally use inorganic pigments for this skin type as they are sheerer and I know the skin will hold colour well. However for a client who likes an ashier long term tone I may choose to work lightly with organics.

What are the most challenging brows to work with?
I get asked this quite often.
Each artist will respond differently….
You may expect me to say those with no brows/minimal hair…. This actually is fairly straightforward.
For me, dark coarse brows with shape challenges are the trickiest.
Why? The density of the areas with hair in contrast to the areas with no hair where there needs to be makes blending and building colour super important whilst not oversaturating the skin.
We started with just microbladed fluffy front on these but they needed more shading to blend…. we were super happy with the new shape we created which flattered her gorgeous face so much more.
I love a challenge! 💛
