Andrew & Laurenβs big day - like so many others - had to change. From Cyprus to Alloa isnβt that much of a difference though - just a few degrees colder π. The morning prep was smooth and drama free; I think Lauren must be the most laidback bride Iβve ever met. Any issue or question and her response was βyeah, just whateverβ. She was just that happy to be getting married. Wee Amelia, however, was harder to please and she kept me on my toes - I knew the photos of her would need to be perfect π. With the weather looking promising, we were all hopeful that the wedding would be as lovely as it would have been in Cyprus!
We heard from the venue that the wedding would definitely be outside and we were ecstatic; Dunmar House has a gorgeous garden area! With both bride and groom ready, the crowd settled and Lauren was led down the aisle by her daughters and Fiona while Andrew looked on with a beaming smile that was matched by Lauren.
The service was lovely and The wonderful Nancy Baird has impeccable timing as her service was just near the end when the rain began to trickle down (although I did have to check that it wasnβt just Andyβs tears π). Thankfully the rain didnβt last long and the couple made it back up the aisle as a very happy, husband and wife! As the rain didnβt amount to much, we were able to do our couple shoot amongst the beautiful gardens. I love this part of the day as you really get to know the couple at this point and I can definitely say that these two are made for each other. Theyβre such a down to earth couple and thereβs such a relaxed atmosphere around them; nothing is ever too much trouble.
Unfortunately, like most weddings at this time, Covid restrictions played its part and it was only the couple allowed to dance. They didnβt let that dampen their spirits - or their dance moves!
It was a wonderful day and Iβm so grateful to have been a part of it! I hope you both have a happy marriage and a wonderful life together!
