✨ NEW at SMART – Therapeutic Ultrasound ✨
From TODAY we're introducing therapeutic ultrasound as the latest addition to our treatment options.
Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves to target deeper soft tissues and, when clinically appropriate, may help to: ✔️ Reduce pain ✔️ Improve tissue flexibility ✔️ Increase local blood flow ✔️ Support the rehabilitation of muscles, tendons and ligaments
At SMART, ultrasound isn't a "magic fix"—it's another clinical tool we can use alongside our hands-on remedial therapy and rehabilitation to help optimise your recovery.
🎉 FREE Introductory Offer – 14th July to 27th July
For two weeks only, we'll include therapeutic ultrasound FREE with your treatment where your therapist feels it's clinically appropriate.
No need to request it—if we believe it could benefit your recovery, we'll discuss it with you during your appointment.
Therapeutic ultrasound is currently available with Jo, Kay and Laura only. As more of our therapists complete their training, we'll be rolling it out across the team.

✈️ Day 1 complete... and what a day it's been!
Today we've been getting hands-on with:
⚡ TENS
⚡ NMES
⚡ IFT
Lots of learning, lots of practical work, and plenty of ideas that we'll be bringing back to the clinic.
WHAT WE HAVE REALLY LEARNED TODAY.....
💧 Kay can drink approximately 4 litres of water when it's 35°C.
😴 Jo can happily squeeze in a 10-minute power nap while attached to a TENS machine.
🥵 A classroom, 35°C heat and a couple of room fans is... character building.
🍹 And cocktails after a full day of learning taste infinitely better than they do at home.
One more day of electrical therapies....

✈️ Jo & Kay are off on their travels!
We are in Swindon for four days of hands-on training to expand our skills and bring even more treatment options to SMART.
We'll be learning:
✔️ TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)
✔️ NMES (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation)
✔️ IFT (Interferential Therapy)
✔️ Therapeutic Ultrasound
At SMART, we believe learning never stops. Continuing our professional development means we can keep offering the highest standard of care and provide our clients with even more ways to reduce pain, support rehabilitation and aid recovery.
We're excited to bring these new skills back to the clinic and can't wait to start incorporating them into our treatments.
Now... please spare a thought for us as we bravely endure 35*C and trying to stop our eyebrows becoming moustaches 🌞😂
We'll do our best to survive the heat... somehow! 😎✈️💚
