🍃 I am an NMC Registered Nurse with almost 6 years experience. I have a BSc Honours degree in Adult Nursing which was costly and took me 3 years to study for

🍃 I paid for an accredited aesthetics course with one of the best aesthetics schools in the country

🍃 I pay a yearly fee to the NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council). This fee covers my legal authorisation to practice as an RN and it maintains my place on the official NMC register, without paying this fee, I wouldn’t be able to practice. The funds from this registration fee are used by the NMC to perform its core regulatory functions, which primarily exist to protect the public. These functions include:

-Maintaining the Register: Managing the list of all qualified and currently registered nursing professionals in the UK

-Setting Standards: Establishing the standards for education, training, conduct, and performance that all registrants must follow (outlined in the NMC Code)

-Quality Assurance: Ensuring that nursing education and training programmes meet the required quality and safety standards

-Fitness to Practise: Investigating concerns raised about a nurse’s fitness to practise and taking action if their practice is found to be impaired. This includes my practice as an Aesthetics Nurse

-Revalidation: Overseeing the revalidation process, which ensures that nurses keep their skills and knowledge up to date throughout their careers

-Indemnity: Ensuring that all practicing nurses have appropriate indemnity (insurance) arrangements in place to cover them in case of a negligence claim
