WHAT YOU DIDN’T SEE BEHIND THE SCENES… 💜

Looking at the finished space now, it’s easy to forget what actually went into getting it to this.

It’s a very old building and I taken it over in April. And the upstairs was just left empty. After renovating downstairs, I didn’t really plan on starting the upstairs till after Xmas.

This summer was probably one of the most stressful I’ve had in a long time. When we found out unexpectedly that Bel Viso were moving in, I had just 5 weeks to completely turn the space around and have everything ready for them. The worky men laughed in my face telling me I couldn’t do it in 5 weeks. 👀

What you didn’t see were the late nights, weekend, the ceiling falling in, the early mornings, the constant phone calls, deliveries, decorating, cleaning, organising, changing my mind 😅, things going wrong like the poor plasterer falling through the ceiling (but survived 🤪) ! A flood, drains backed up and me literally drain rodding it like a pro. I had no clue or no idea but started drying the floors out with a hairdryer 🤣 it was like trying to solve one problem while another one appeared.

All while still running the businesses, working, being a mam and trying to keep everything else going as normal.

There were definitely moments where I thought, “What have I done ?” 🙃

It completely took over my summer, and I don’t think I realised how physically and mentally exhausting it had been until it was finally finished.

But me and Samantha had a vision for the space and I knew exactly how she wanted it to feel. So I kept going.

And somehow… 5 weeks later, we did it. 🥹

Now when I walk through the doors and see what we created in such a short amount of time, I feel incredibly proud and still do cry. 😭

Sometimes you only see the beautiful finished result on social media you don’t see the chaos, pressure and hard work that happened behind it.

This was definitely a labour of love… and one hell of a summer. 😂🤍
