8 years today 🖤 Profhilo has been a part of The Fade Away Clinic.

Over the years I have noticed that some treatments come and go, but Profhilo has truly stood the test of time since introducing it at The Fade Away Clinic back in 2018….omg 🙈 those skinny jeans.

As an aesthetic practitioner with over 10 years experience in the aesthetic industry Iv had my own personal experience last year with a vascular occlusion.

So why am I sharing this with you now…….This week I had a worried client contact me regarding a bruise on her chin. Having experienced a vascular occlusion myself, I understand how worrying it can be. After a prompt assessment, thankfully I was able to reassure my client and explain that it was a bruise.

Reflecting on my own personal experience of a vascular occlusion, I remembered noticing a different type of pain that was not localised to the injection site. Within 2 to 3hrs, I noticed a mottled appearance around the injection site that gradually started to spread. At the same time, I was starting to experience some discomfort and recognised that my capillary refill was delayed. While it was a frightening experience, thankfully it was recognised and treated promptly, resulting in a full recovery with no long term damage.

What I learnt from my own personal experience, is that a vascular occlusion can happen to anyone. The key is early recognition and prompt intervention, hence why it’s important to ensure that your injector has the knowledge, training and skills to recognise and manage complications should they arise.

My personal experience with a vascular occlusion had a positive outcome since it was identified and treated promptly, because education, preparation and rapid intervention makes all the difference.

Balancing a demanding career within the NHS while successfully running my own business, requires strong time management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards across both professional roles.

When I’m not working in the Fade Away Clinic, you’ll usually find me busy in my NHS role. I’m passionate about both careers and feel incredibly lucky every single day to do the work that I love.

Although, life can be hectic at times, maintaining a healthy work life balance is important to me, since it helps me stay focused and most importantly be able to enjoy quality time with loved ones and friends.

After a busy week balancing my NHS role and the Fade Away Clinic, I also make a conscious effort to limit my time on social media. Personally, I feel that too much screen time fosters unhealthy behaviours and can have a negative impact on mental wellbeing.

This is why, you won’t see daily posts or stories on my page, since Id rather engage in activities that help me relax, such as walking/hiking, reading, enjoying a good movie/drama or simply enjoying a nice glass of red🍷

It’s certainly true what they say…..the older you get, the more you value peace and meaningful boundaries 😌
