Someone once said if you take care of someone with dementia you lose them more and more everyday. When they get the diagnosis, when they go through different stages, when they need treatment and when they pass away. This is called "ambigua loss".
I don't wish dementia on anyone. As the brain slowly dies, they change physically and eventually forget who their loved ones are. They could end up lying in bed, not moving and not eating or drinking.
There will be people who will scroll past this post because Dementia has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have a loved one who has battled or is still battling dementia.
To raise awareness of this cruel disease, I would like my friends to put this on their page today.

My name is Sandy and I’ve been in the hairdressing, beauty and aesthetics industry for over 40 years. I have a wealth of experience and knowledge to assist and guide you for all of your hair, beauty and clinical needs.

I have retained clients that have been with me since I started my career in 1981, and have gone on this journey with me, and have their absolute testament that I am the best of the best! 🤩

I have 5 children, 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, whom I absolutely love and cherish, and I do most of my experimentation on them! Hahaha 😝 and they love it! 😻

I love my gym and exercise, and I also (as well as this!) teach fitness classes in the evenings, but I’ll post about this one separately. 🤸‍♀️💪🏋️‍♀️

I found my lovely little building, which is my second home, in passing in 1981 and I was friends with the previous owners. I fell in love with the house and converted it into what it has become today! A successful hairdressing and beauty business which has thrived over the course of my 40 years! There is nothing I wouldn’t do for my clientele, who without them, would not have made this possible.

One thing my clients completely trust about me, is I will never do work on them that is not suited to their appearance, whether this be hair, beauty or aesthetics enchantments.
