Having your extensions weaved in is a faster, cheaper, far easier to manage and less damaging alternative to more commonly used methods such as bonding or micro rings. the weaving method does not require the use of glues or chemicals therefore significantly reducing any damage to your natural hair during the time you have the weave and when it comes to removing it. My name is Sam and I have been applying hair extensions for over 10 years and have a very happy client base that regularly returns time and time again. I am proficient applying hair extensions in a variety of ways including:

Weaving

I have personally been using hair extensions for over 10 years and have tried all of the above methods. For the last 5 years I have solely used the weaving method and always recommend this method to all my clients, the main reason being that it causes virtually no damage to your natural hair as long as it is looked after, unlike other popular methods such as microrings and fusion bonds. Bonded extensions can be a nightmare for some. They often cause bald patches, hair thinning and hair loss. They can take hours to put in and even longer to take out. Weaving is easy to manage, quick to put in, take out and very cheap to maintain. Weaving is a fantastic low cost option for an ultimate hair makeover and are perfect for women who are experimenting with Hair Extensions for the first time! Hair extensions can be used to achieve volume, colour and length. Just a few inches of your natural hair is all thats needed to be able to have a weave, so you don’t need to wait for your hair to grow. If you’re in that in between transition from growing out a bob, they are perfect as you can avoid having to wait as your hair will grow with the weave in. Also if you have fine hair or hair that does not grow weaving can be used to achieve instant volume or length. How its done:

The process involves putting a small cornrow (a braid that’s stuck to the scalp) underneath the hair and secured in place with a small elastic band. The weave is then sewn onto the cornrow using thick weave cotton. Once in place the weave is SECURE and WILL NOT fall off! the cornrow will just become looser against the scalp over time as your natural hair grows. To achieve a full head of extensions usually requires up to 4 cornrows (depending on the thickness or style of your natural hair) being put in resulting in securely fitted extensions that cannot be achieved using clip in extensions. Removal of the weave is also simple to do. Just snip the cotton, remove the weave and then snip the elastic band that holds the cornrow in place and it will unravel. Anyone can do this for you or if you would prefer you can come to me and I will do it for you. Depending on your hair type this method can last between 8-10 weeks. I strongly recommend that the weave is removed after no longer than 10 weeks as your natural hair will begin to dreadlock within the cornrow making removing your weave very difficult and increasing the risk of damage to your natural hair. Less damaging – no glues or chemicals are used to apply the weave or remove it, this depending on the quality of the weave used enables it to be re used and greatly minimises any damage to your natural hair provided the weave is not left in longer than the recommended time and is well maitained during the time it is in. Easy to manage – normal washing and styling can be carried out. You can also continue to dye your natural hair if needed to ( root touch ups and covering grey) Hair products and styling tools such as hair straightners and curling tongs will not damage the weave (as long as human hair is used not synthetic)
Greatly reduced shedding of the weave – due to the hair extensions not being cut of the weave
