Under government legislation it is a requirement of any business for the employer to comply with the Health and Safety Display Screen Equipment (DSE) regulations act 1992 as amended by the health and safety miscellaneous amendments regulation act 2002. GMC Therapy will strive to t

ake that initial stress away from you, the employer. GMC Therapy’s main focus is Work Station Assessments with all the added extras of Holistic Care and life style consultations. This includes evaluation of the individual work space, massage, exercise/ strengthening programs and postural analysis, based upon our findings during the initial consultation process. We concentrate on how the effects of poor display screen equipments (DSE) can affect your employees health. This includes eyes, wrist, neck, shoulders, hips and back. We teach individuals how to set up their personal work stations looking at the ergonomics of their chairs, desk, computer screen, key board, telephone and mouse. We will file a full report of our findings and inform management of each individual consultation, also providing a list of recommended actions for your employee if required. Research suggests that every year the number of people taking sick leave due to musculoskeletal related disorders keeps rising. A possible cause for this is due to the ergonomics of a work station being incorrectly set up. This can be corrected by a few simple measures being implemented. GMC Therapy’s goal is to reduce the amount of sick leave taken within your company due to musculoskeletal conditions. We believe that by targeting these issues at the core and taking people back to basics with correcting posture, stress reduction and controlling injury management will provide a more relaxed working environment and increased staff morale which in turn will enable people to work more efficiently towards achieving your business targets. GMC Therapy can also provide simple written exercise/ strengthening programs, postural analysis and massage (space dependent) if necessary. This will offer benefit to those already suffering with these aches and pains by teaching simple injury management guidance and how to take better control physically of their bodies to make their working and personal life more comfortable. Holistic therapy has been proven to reduce stress making the work place a much more relaxed environment and increase productivity. I am not very good at the whole social media thing but after a fantastic week away and getting lots of business advice from Sir Richard Branson at his home on Necker Island, I have decided I need to reassess the power of Social media for my small business.
