Increasing COVID numbers: staying safe

Today’s daily COVID-19 figure is the largest we have ever recorded in Scotland.

It was inevitable that cases would rise as restrictions eased - so to some extent what we are seeing now is not entirely unexpected.

However, the First Minister has described the scale of the increase as ‘a cause of real concern’.

The link between new cases and serious health harms has been weakened, but it has not been completely broken. That means the rise in cases in the last week may well result in more people going to hospital in the coming days, perhaps requiring intensive care treatment and potentially more people dying.

It also means that if the surge continues or accelerates - with a corresponding substantial increase in serious illness – the Scottish Government cannot completely rule out having to reimpose some restrictions.

COVID 19 PRECAUTIONS

As we see a rise in positive cases locally, please be assured that Isle Massage continues to take all precautions to maintain a safe working environment.

You can help....

Please arrive at your appointment at the correct time, waiting outside until I open the door for you or text me from your car if it's raining to let me know you have arrived (I no longer have a waiting area).

Face coverings continue to be mandatory.

Please DO NOT attend if you or any member of your household have any signs/symptoms of Covid 19: a new continuous cough, loss of or change in sense of taste or smell, fever/high temperature, sore throat, runny nose, headache.

Please DO NOT attend if you or any member of your household has tested positive for Covid 19 within the last 10 days prior to your appointment.

Please DO NOT attend if you are awaiting a Covid 19 test result.

Please DO NOT attend if you have been asked to self isolate within the last 10 days prior to your appointment.

Please DO NOT attend if in the last 10 days prior to your appointment you or anyone from your household have travelled internationally from a red/amber country or from any part of the UK with travel restrictions.

IF YOU HAVE TRAVELLED from mainland UK in the last 10 days prior to your appointment please ensure to undertake a lateral flow test before your appointment.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so before 9am on day of appointment. As per cancellation policy, late cancellations and no shows will be charged full appointment fee.
