Whoop I made the cut! Can you spot me?

My client and I were both blown away by these results...

I don't normally share before & after photos, but both my client and I were so surprised by this result that she kindly gave me permission to share it.

She had been struggling with persistent, inflamed
acne.

She came in for a 60-minute full-body lymphatic drainage treatment, which includes massage to arms, legs, back and stomach. I did not touch her face.

Photo 1: Before her treatment.
Photo 2: Immediately after her treatment.

The following day, she messaged me to say the improvement had continued, and her skin still looked calmer.

So why might this have happened?

Reduced inflammation – Lymphatic drainage may help reduce inflammation throughout the body, which can make acne appear less red and swollen.

Reduced fluid retention – Supporting lymphatic flow may help decrease puffiness, allowing the skin to look calmer and clearer.

Deep relaxation – Massage activates the body's "rest and digest" response. Stress can contribute to inflammation, so feeling helping her to relax may of had a positive effect on the skin.

Improved circulation – Healthy blood flow helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to the skin, supporting a healthier complexion.

It's important to say that lymphatic drainage is not treatment for acne, and I can't say for certain that it made this improvement.

This is simply one client's experience, but it was such a remarkable change that myself and my client wanted to share.

Every body responds differently to treatments, but moments like these are a wonderful reminder of how connected our body's systems really are.

A client recently asked me about my qualifications and what makes my treatments different. It's a great question, and one I'm always happy to answer.

I hold Level 3 ITEC Diplomas in Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Swedish Massage. These are internationally recognised qualifications that required extensive in-person training, alongside the study of Anatomy and Physiology.

As part of my training, I completed between 80 and 100 hours of supervised practical work, together with written case studies and assessments, before being eligible to sit my exams.

Since qualifying, I have continued my professional development through additional in-person and online accredited courses. These require both practical and theoretical learning, as well as case studies and evidence of competency, helping me maintain professional standards and obtain appropriate insurance cover.

My client thanked me for explaining my background and said that with so many therapists available today, it can sometimes be difficult to understand the level of training behind the qualification. She said knowing more about my education and experience gave her confidence that she was in safe hands.

I believe clients should feel comfortable asking about a therapist's qualifications, experience and insurance.

Transparency and ongoing professional development are important to me, and I'm proud of the training and commitment that support the treatments I provide.

A week ago I had my first lymphatic drainage treatment and I wanted to share an honest update.

I went into the treatment feeling bloated, inflamed and in need of a reset. Since then I've focused on hydration, nourishing foods, rest and gentle movement to support the process.

The biggest difference for me so far?

I simply feel better.

Less bloated. Sleeping better. Calmer. More comfortable in my clothes. And surprisingly, fewer cravings too.

I've written a blog sharing my full Week 1 experience, including how I prepared for the treatment and the changes I've noticed over the last seven days.

If you've ever wondered whether lymphatic drainage could help you feel more like yourself again, I hope my journey gives you some insight.

My most asked question about lymphatic drainage massage... What is it, and how is it different from a regular massage?

Lymphatic drainage is a very gentle treatment designed to support your body's natural lymphatic system.

Unlike traditional massage, there is very little pressure used, and often little to no oil. This is because many lymphatic vessels sit just beneath the surface of the skin and respond best to light, rhythmic techniques.

The lymphatic system doesn't need deep pressure to work effectively. In fact, heavy pressure can compress lymphatic vessels, whereas gentle techniques help encourage healthy lymph flow and support the body's natural detoxification and immune processes.

Many of my clients who are used to my deeper-pressure treatments are surprised by how relaxing lymphatic drainage feels.

After a treatment, clients often report:
✨ Feeling lighter
✨ Reduced bloating and puffiness
✨ Better quality sleep
✨ Feeling deeply relaxed
✨ Increased energy over the following days

Lymphatic drainage massage can also support many symptoms to the Menopause.

Please DM if you would like to find out Lymphatic drainage massage can support you.

Happy 11th birthday to the king of relaxation my little Jaffa Cakes.

He still wins everyone over with his ears, cuteness and little dog attitude.

He certainly knows how to melt my heart ❀️ 🌎

Here's to many more years of adventures together and keeping me on my toes. πŸŽ‰πŸ₯°πŸΎπŸŽ
