✨ More than sauna - it’s place to slow down, rest and feel good!
🌿🔥 SO PROUD OF YOU, NATALIE! 🔥🌿
🏆 1ST PLACE AT THE UK HERBAL CUP! 🏆
Three years ago, Natalie came to my sauna, and little did I know how beautiful it would be to witness the journey that followed. ❤️
Since then, I’ve watched her grow, learn, practise, challenge herself, and work so hard to become the best sauna master she can be.
Especially over the past year, I’ve seen how much dedication she has put into her craft. The travelling, the learning, the preparation, and countless hours of practising her sauna rituals. Behind every achievement, there is so much work that people never get to see.
And now, seeing her win 1st place at the UK Herbal Cup makes me incredibly happy and proud! 🏆🌿
Natalie, you are such a beautiful example of what happens when passion meets persistence, dedication, and the courage to keep growing. You never stop learning, exploring, and pushing yourself further.
But the best part of this journey? ❤️
I didn’t just gain a talented colleague in the sauna world. I gained a friend, a sauna buddy, and someone with whom I can share this beautiful passion, exchange ideas, learn, practise, laugh, and celebrate each other’s achievements.
I’m so grateful that our paths crossed three years ago. I love you, Natalie, and I’m so happy you came into my life!
Your hard work has paid off, and you deserve every bit of this recognition. 🌿🔥
Here’s to more herbal magic, sauna adventures, and growing together! ❤️
Congratulations, my friend! 🥂🌿

THIS MIGHT DISAPPOINT SOME SAUNA CLIENTS… AND A FEW INFLUENCERS.
Our cold plunges are not freezing cold.
And no — we’re not planning to make them colder just because someone says “the colder, the better.” 😏
And for me, sauna has never been about competing to see who can tolerate the most extreme temperature.
We follow the seasons.
Summer is different from winter.
Your body is different in July than it is in January.
In Lithuania, sauna has traditionally been about the relationship between heat, cooling, rest, nature and the body — not chasing the lowest possible water temperature.
And there is some really interesting science behind this too.
Lithuanian sports scientist Prof. Habil. Dr. Albertas Skurvydas has spent years researching human physiology, physical stress and how the body adapts to different stresses.
One of the important ideas coming from this field is that the dose of stress matters.
A stimulus needs to be strong enough to create an adaptive response — but that doesn’t mean the more extreme, the better.
So yes, cold water can stimulate the sympathetic nervous system and increase noradrenaline, making you feel alert and energised.
But here’s the part that might disappoint the ice-bath crowd:
🧊 YOU DON’T NEED 2°C WATER TO BENEFIT FROM COLD.
You don’t need to gasp, panic, suffer or prove how tough you are.
There is no prize for the coldest plunge.
At Saunature Spa, we want the contrast to be something your body can experience, adapt to and recover from.
🔥 Heat
🧊 Cool
🌬️ Breathe
🌿 Rest
❤️ Repeat
Sometimes the best cold plunge is simply the one that makes you feel alive — not defeated.
And that’s why our water temperature changes with the seasons.
Because sauna is not a competition.
It’s a relationship with your body, your environment and the rhythm of nature.
So if you came expecting an Arctic survival challenge…
Sorry. 😂
We’re not trying to make you suffer.
We’re trying to help you feel better.
🇱🇹🔥🧊 Lithuanian sauna. Different philosophy.

🌿🔥 WOMEN’S LITHUANIAN PIRTIS 🔥🌿
Saturday 10 October • 1:30pm
Just 6 women • 2 hours
A traditional Lithuanian pirtis experience rooted in the simple art of warming, cleansing, washing and caring for the body.
Pirtis is more than heat.
Through warmth, steam, water, herbs and traditional rituals, we create time to slow down, rest between sauna rounds, care for ourselves — and each other.
No rushing.
No pressure to endure extreme heat.
Just warmth, nature, connection and time to breathe.
🌿 A small circle. An old tradition. A deeply nurturing experience.

🌿🔥 WOMEN’S SAUNA CIRCLE • 19–25 OCTOBER 🔥🌿
I’d love to run a special Women’s Sauna Circle during the week of 19–25 October, exploring something I’ve been learning more about through Red School — Menstruality, our changing cycles and the different stages of a woman’s life.
We often talk about sauna as a place to slow down, listen to the body, rest and reconnect.
But our bodies have their own rhythms too.
Our energy, emotions, need for movement, rest, connection and space can change throughout our lives — from our menstrual years, through perimenopause and menopause, and into post-menopause.
🌙 What can we learn by becoming more aware of these changes?
🌿 How might sauna, warmth, cooling, herbs and rest help us listen more deeply?
🔥 And what can women at different stages of life learn from one another?
I’d like to create a gentle, open space to explore all of this together — through conversation, reflection, sauna and traditional women’s practices.
This is not a medical workshop, and there is no “right” way to experience your body.
You don’t need to know anything about Menstruality beforehand.
Whether you’re still cycling, have an irregular cycle, are in perimenopause, menopause or post-menopause — you are welcome. ❤️
I’m thinking of offering this as a free introductory Women’s Sauna Circle during 19–25 October, as part of my own learning and exploration.
I’d really love to know:

🌿🔥 WOMEN’S SAUNA EXPERIENCES AT SAUNATURE 🔥🌿
Ladies, we have two very different women’s sauna experiences coming up in October — both created as a chance to slow down, reconnect and simply be.
🔥 SHE: SAUNA RITUAL
Saturday 11 October • 1:30PM
A deeply relaxing Lithuanian pirtis experience for just 6 women.
This is more than simply sitting in a hot sauna. We’ll work with traditional Lithuanian sauna rituals, herbs, heat, steam and connection — allowing the body to soften and the mind to slow down.
🌿 Why come?
To experience authentic Lithuanian pirtis traditions, receive gentle sauna rituals, reconnect with your senses and give yourself time to completely switch off.
🌙 FULL MOON WOMEN’S SAUNA CIRCLE
Sunday 25 October • 7PM
A more spacious, reflective evening to slow down, connect with the full moon cycle and share sauna time with other women.
🌙 Why come?
Because sometimes we simply need a few hours away from work, family, phones and everyday responsibilities — somewhere warm, calm and held by other women.
Both are about slowing down.
But SHE is a more intimate traditional sauna ritual, while the Full Moon Circle is about connection, reflection and the rhythm of the moon.
Come for yourself. 🤍🔥

LET’S TALK ABOUT DRINKING IN THE SAUNA. 💧🌿
One thing I keep noticing at sauna?
People don’t drink enough.
And then I go on Instagram and see all these sauna influencers telling us what we apparently need to buy before we’re allowed to enjoy a sauna.
Electrolytes.
Powders.
Special drinks.
Supplements.
Fancy little sachets of goodness…
Honestly, sometimes I just want to say:
Guys… can we drink some water first? 😂
When you sweat, you lose fluid — so yes, hydration matters.
Drink before your sauna.
Drink between rounds.
And listen to your body.
If you’re sweating heavily, feeling very thirsty, getting a headache or noticing other signs of dehydration, you may also need to replace some of the salts you’ve lost.
But you don’t automatically need an expensive electrolyte product every time you step into a sauna.
Sometimes, after a good sweaty session, a tiny pinch of salt in your water is plenty.
And then there’s something I absolutely love about Lithuanian sauna tradition:
🌿 HERBAL TEA.
In Lithuanian pirtis, tea isn’t just something you drink because you’re thirsty.
It’s part of the ritual.
You drink it before and between sauna rounds, allowing yourself to warm gradually and giving your body a chance to rest and recover.
And the herbs themselves bring their own flavours, aromas and traditional uses into the experience.
This is one of the things I love about Lithuanian sauna.
We’re not just:
🔥 Get ridiculously hot.
🥶 Jump into freezing water.
🔥 Repeat until you’ve suffered enough.
There is a rhythm to it.
Warm up.
Drink.
Sweat.
Rest.
Sip your tea.
Breathe.
Listen to your body.
Go back in when you’re ready.
It’s not about how much you can endure.
It’s about being present enough to notice what you actually need.
So yes — hydrate.
But please don’t turn sauna into another shopping list.
Sometimes it really can be:
💧 Water
🧂 A tiny bit of sea salt when appropriate
🌿 A beautiful herbal tea
🧘♀️ And listening to your own body
That’s already quite a lot.🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿🌿

🔥 LET’S TALK ABOUT TALKING IN THE SAUNA… 🔥
And yes… I’m guilty of it too. 😂
You come with a friend you haven’t seen for ages and suddenly the sauna becomes the perfect place to discuss EVERYTHING.
Children.
Work.
Relationships.
Dinner.
The neighbour.
The neighbour’s dog… 😂
I get it.
Connection is a huge part of what makes sauna special.
But there’s another side to sauna that we sometimes forget.
Silence.
I sometimes think of the sauna a little bit like a church.
You don’t have to be silent every time.
But sometimes… maybe we can give our mouths a little break too. 😉
When was the last time you were somewhere where nobody needed anything from you?
No phone.
No scrolling.
No conversation.
No answering questions.
Just sitting.
Breathing.
Sweating.
Being.
There might be someone sitting beside you who came to the sauna precisely because they need that quiet.
So next time, try one round in silence.
You don’t have to make it serious.
Just notice what happens when you stop filling the space with words.
You might discover that your body has been waiting for a little quiet.
And don’t worry…
You can still have a good gossip afterwards. 😂🔥
