I know it’s super early to start thinking about Christmas 🎄🙈 but we all know that once the kids go back to school, it’ll be here before we know it!

Yesterday, I sat down and wrote the rest of the year into my diary, and this post includes all the key dates for the run-up to Christmas and New Year ✨

I honestly cannot emphasise enough how important it is to book your appointments in advance! My Christmas hours will be more limited than usual as I’ll be making plans, family days out and memories around my work schedule ❤️

Please don’t leave booking until the last minute and be disappointed if I’m fully booked! Out-of-hours appointments will be extremely limited during this period and, where available, will incur an additional £5 fee and a £10 deposit during December which will need to be paid by November 30th to keep your out of hour appointment.

Say hello to my new logo 🌙✨

Just a little back story on why I’ve chosen a crescent moon…

Since Noah was roughly 2 months old, my mam nicknamed him Mr Moon because of his big round head and it just stuck! I call him it, my mam does, and even Dom says it every now and then 😂🌙

Another little thing that’s always been special between me and my mam is saying “I love you to the moon and back.” It used to be our own little competition of who could love who the most. 🤍

I couldn’t really incorporate Noah’s name into my brand, but I wanted there to be a little piece of him in it somehow… so I thought, why not honour my logo to my very own Mr Moon? 🌙

I’ve also always had such a soft spot for astronomy. If it’s a clear night, you’ll probably find me looking up at the stars, so the moon felt like the perfect little finishing touch. ✨

But the moon also has another meaning that I really love — manifestation, new beginnings and setting intentions. 🌙

The different phases of the moon are often associated with growth, change and bringing the things you’re working towards into reality. And honestly, that feels so fitting for where I am right now.

I’ve spent so much time dreaming about having my own little studio, building something that’s truly mine and creating a space I can be proud of. Now I’m finally here, and this feels like the beginning of something really special. 🤍

Starting to think about it I should have rebranded the night of the solar eclipse but that was…… how can I say it? Underwhelming!

And then there’s the name…

LJ Studio.

It just feels right. A little more grown-up and mature than Louise Joy Beauty, whilst still keeping Louise Joy at the heart of it — because that’s where this whole journey started.

So here we are…

LJ Studio 🌙

A new chapter. A new name. A new space.
But still the same Louise behind it all. 🤍

Here’s to manifesting bigger dreams, chasing new goals and seeing just how far this little studio can go. ✨
