To help me continue offering the best service possible while balancing family life, I’ve made a few updates to my working hours and appointment policy.

My regular working hours are shown below, with Tuesday appointments coming soon! 🤍

Please also note:
💗 I only work two Saturdays each month, and these are reserved around my existing regular clients, so availability is very limited.

💗 Out-of-hours appointments (outside my listed working hours) are available where possible but will require:
• A 50% non-refundable deposit
• An additional £5 out-of-hours fee

Sorry I’ve been a little quiet over the weekend! My phone has been on Do Not Disturb while I enjoyed some much needed family time. 🫶

☀️ Why aren’t my nails lasting as well in this heat? 💅

With the current heatwave, I’ve had a few questions about retention, so I thought I’d explain why it can happen.

Gel products really don’t like extreme temperatures. The heat can affect how they perform during application and curing, and excessive sweating, warm hands and even sun cream residue can make it harder for the product to bond perfectly to the natural nail.

During this weather:
💗 Hands can become sweaty, creating extra moisture on the nail plate.
💗 You’re likely spending more time swimming, on holiday, gardening and enjoying outdoor activities.
💗 Constant changes between hot weather, cold water and everyday wear can put extra stress on your nails.

I’m taking every precaution I can by keeping my products cool, thoroughly dehydrating the nail plate and adjusting my prep where needed, but unfortunately the weather is one thing none of us can control.

✨ A little reminder during your appointment: Once your hand goes into the lamp, please keep it there until I tell you to remove it. Taking your hand out too early can interrupt the curing process and affect the strength and longevity of your nails.

If you do experience any lifting or have any concerns, please pop me a message as soon as possible. As always, repairs within one week of your appointment are free. 🫶

Morning girls! 🩷 Just a little heads up for today’s appointments.

The salon is going to be very warm today. I’m doing everything I can to keep it cool, but without air conditioning it’s proving to be almost impossible! 🙈

If you’re coming in today, I’d recommend wearing cool, comfortable clothing. I’ll have cold water available for anyone who would like some feel free to bring your own cool drink too if you’d like!

Also, please bear with me as the heat can make gel products a little trickier to work with, they definitely don’t enjoy this weather any more than we do! 😂 I’ll still be taking my time to make sure your nails are perfect but this may make me run over time so just keep an eye on those messages from me 🩷
