Top tips when using our 01. Mango Butter + Lemon Facial Balm:

Tip #1 always use clean dry hands or our bamboo spatula to remove product from the jar

Tip #2 a little bit goes a long way so only use a pea size amount for each cleanse

Tip #3 only apply on dry skin

Tip #4 massage the product in to the skin using upwards circular motions

Tip #5 for an extra hydration boost, after cleansing, leave on as a face mask for around 10mins

Tip #6 this product is safe to use as a leave on product so you can even use as an evening moisturiser!

MYTH BUSTER! ‘Natural skincare is chemical-free’

This is a myth! Absolutely everything is a chemical - water is a chemical, food is a chemical, air is a chemical.

So, what do people mean when they say it’s ‘chemical free’?

They mean that it doesn’t contain any synthetic ingredients or synthetic chemicals. A synthetic ingredient is something that is manufactured, involves a chemical reaction and where it doesn’t occur naturally or can’t be sourced naturally.

Although we are a synthetic chemical-free skincare brand and truly believe that natural is best it’s important to understand that not all synthetic chemicals are created equally. Some are useful, some are good and some are bad. And just because you can’t pronounce the name of a product doesn’t mean it’s not natural.

WHAT ARE SURFACTANTS?

Surfactants in skincare are used as a foaming and cleansing agent. There are many naturally derived and synthetic versions of these used within skincare.

Green surfactants are mild, biocompatible, biodegradable and environmentally friendly and typically cause less skin irritation than synthetic chemical foaming agents.

Some green surfactants to look out for are:
🥥 Cocamidopropyl Betaine (derived from coconut)
🌴 Coco Glucoside (derived from palm/coconut/starch)
🥥 Decyl Glucoside (derived from palm/coconut/starch)
🌱 Yucca Scidifera Stem Extract (Yucca Liquid Extract - liquid extracted from the juice of the stem)
🌳 Quillaja Saponaria Extract (derived from the Quillaja tree)
