⚠️ SUNDERLAND NAIL SALON WARNS OTHER BUSINESSES AFTER £90 SERVICE IS LEFT UNPAID

A Sunderland city-centre nail salon says it has been left out of pocket after a young woman allegedly received a full service before leaving without paying.

The salon says the incident happened on Thursday, September 17, at around 5.45pm.

According to the business, the customer received services worth a total of £90 before leaving the premises without making payment.

The salon says the matter was reported to police and that CCTV captured the person leaving the premises and getting onto a bus.

However, the business says it has since been informed that it is unlikely the case will be taken further.

The salon has now decided to speak out to raise awareness among other businesses in Sunderland and surrounding areas.

The business says it has heard that similar incidents may have happened previously, although those reports have not been independently verified.

The salon stressed that its intention is not to cause problems for anyone, but simply to warn other local businesses and potentially prevent similar incidents happening again.

The owners say they are willing to provide CCTV images or further information if required.
