This is me, in natural daylight.

No filter. No AI. No smoothing.

Obviously I have makeup on, my skin is a little uneven at the minute and purging slightly but this is still me.

I have had treatments. I’ve had filler, Botox, Ultraformer MPT, ResurFX, microneedling and HydraFacials.

But for me, this is what natural aesthetics should still look like.

Fresh, maintained, balanced but still recognisably you.

I want the same for myself as I do for my clients.

I’d much rather someone say, “You look really well,” than, “Oh my God, what have you had done?”

That has always been my approach to aesthetics. Treatments should enhance you, not take over your face. 🤍

Sorry XERF… but have you seen this? 👀

There’s a LOT of talk at the moment about XERF, one of the newer skin-tightening treatments that’s gone huge in London.

But this is exactly why I’m so pleased I invested in Ultraformer MPT.

This is my client’s own before and after, taken at home following her treatment on 13th July and she hadn’t even reached the full 12-week result when these were taken.

Look closely at what has physically changed 👇🏼

You can see a clearer, more defined mandibular/jawline contour, particularly through the lower face. The pre-jowl sulcus has softened, giving a smoother transition along the jaw rather than that little dip before the jowl.

Under the chin, there is visibly less submental laxity, and the angle between the jaw and neck looks cleaner and more defined.

The neck itself appears firmer and tighter, with less visible crepiness and folding through the skin, and the overall skin quality looks smoother.

This is why the different depths with Ultraformer MPT matter. We aren’t treating one single layer. Different cartridges allow us to work at different tissue depths — from the more superficial layers responsible for skin quality, through to the deeper structural layers including the fascial/SMAS level tailoring the treatment depending on what we’re trying to improve.

And while some London clinics are currently advertising XERF full-face treatments at around £2,000, or £2,500 for face and neck, we’re achieving results like this here in the North East for a fraction of that price.

The biggest shift for me now is this - filler isn’t always where we start!

For some clients, the better starting point is improving support, collagen and skin quality first.

That’s where treatments like Ultraformer MPT have really changed the way I plan treatments. We can work deeper, then build upwards with other treatments depending on what the face actually needs.

Some people don’t want filler. Some don’t want anything too invasive. Some just want to look fresher without looking “done”.

And I love that we now have so many more options to do that properly.

For me, good aesthetics is becoming much less about fixing one thing in isolation and much more about creating the right plan for the whole face.

Start deeper. Work upwards. Add only what’s needed.

Aesthetics is evolving and I want us to keep moving with it, learning more, investing wisely and always trying to stay one step ahead.

These results… and she’s not even at 12 weeks yet 👀

If you remember coming to my house, sitting in my sitting room as your “waiting area”, probably with a Moses basket somewhere nearby 😂 and little Millie the dog acting as your therapy dog while you waited to get your lips done… then coming through to my dining room, which doubled up as my treatment room… and you’re STILL coming to me now you’re one loyal bloody customer 😂 and I love you for it.

You’ve watched me go from that little room in my house to having my own clinic on the seafront, and I’ll never forget the people who trusted me when I was just starting out.

But this isn’t only about the people who were there at the beginning.

It’s also for every new client who walks through that pink door. Every recommendation. Every friend you send my way. Every person who’s followed me for ages before finally plucking up the courage to book. And even those of you who’ve walked past the clinic on the seafront, spotted the pink door and thought, I wonder what goes on in there? 😂🩷

So much of my business has grown through word of mouth, and that is something I will never take for granted.

Whether you’ve been coming for 11 years or 11 days, thank you for choosing me and, most importantly, trusting me with your face.

It means more than you probably realise.

I found this photo today and it stopped me in my tracks.

One of the first photos behind the reception desk at Jennifer Smith Aesthetics — me, my husband and our two children at the time. The people who were behind me while I was building something from the ground up.

11 years later.

Two more children.
A much bigger business.
A hell of a lot of investment.
Plenty of risks, mistakes and expensive lessons. 😂

But one thing I’m incredibly proud of is that I have NEVER allowed this business to stand still.

Aesthetics has changed enormously in 11 years — and I’ve changed with it.

I’ve invested in technology, mentorship, advanced training and cadaver education. I’ve travelled to learn from some of the best in this industry and reinvested in myself and my clinic over and over again.

Not for an award.
Not for a photo at a conference.
Not just to say I’ve been somewhere.

To actually learn. To evolve. To be better.

People have come and gone. Things haven’t always gone to plan. I’ve taken knocks, made difficult decisions and questioned myself along the way.

But I’m still here.

Still independent.
Still investing.
Still learning.
Still taking risks.
Still bloody excited about what’s next.

And this time next week, I’ll be at the airport preparing to fly to SOUTH KOREA 🇰🇷 to continue my education in an industry that, 11 years later, I’m even more passionate about.

Looking at this photo tonight, I can finally say:

LOOK WHAT WE BUILT. 🩷

My family backed me.
I backed myself.

11 years down. Nowhere near finished.
