Still July - Aisling & Brandon got hitched 31st July at Weddings at The Parlour - it was a huge privilege for me to photograph this wedding as I had photographed Aisling's sister Cat's wedding a couple of years earlier. This was an epic event from start to end!! As I was photographing the after party late into the evening I was witness to some truly epic dancefloor magic!! A few of my favourite moments from throughout the day attached!

I still don’t have the right words, but I’m going to try…
All I’ve ever known is struggle; constantly in fight or flight mode, never quite fit in despite my heart always being in the right place.
The Maykup Club saved my life, literally! After suffering a twin miscarriage in 2018 due to sepsis and nearly losing my life, I wouldn’t leave my room. Makeup artistry brought me back to life, and because of it, I healed!
I work hard (probably too much) and with other artists/stylists including Grace Holly Makeup my gorgeous, amazingly talented daughter, and Undeclared Beauty my fantastic friend and past student, I’ve been able to grow TMC so a legacy can be left for my daughter’s. These women are power house artists/stylists, loyal, supportive and understand the term ‘team’. Running their own businesses, working their backsides off and yet still show up for TMC! I could not have done this without them! This last year, BEX Pretty B Artistry 💕 By Lauren Jane 👸🏽🍒 Daniela Schofield Sarahs Makeup G.E.M Beauty and others, have all stepped up too, and joined forces! Literally, we are a community of empowering people and last night’s awards replicated and demonstrated exactly that and I’ll be grateful to Danielle Walling for the rest of my time on this planet, for bringing community recognition to life! A room full of love!
They say to pay attention to those who don’t clap when you win, but last night a room FULL of inspiring, talented, hardworking and supportive people, all clapped. I don’t think I’ve ever received such an overwhelming response and I’ve cried all day today!
Thank you to all my friends, family, clients, old, current and upcoming, the judges, Tess & Emma (the best host’s) and to the NE Hair & Beauty Awards for the encouragement, support, and belief! If I’ve missed anyone, so sorry! But grateful to you all!

I honestly don’t know where to start!!! I’m laying in bed crying buckets of tears! I don’t think anyone will ever know just how much this means to me! 🤍
The mask is off!! Years of personal struggle, trauma, and the inability to just fit in, have always led me to believe that no matter how hard I try, the win would always be within and not acknowledged! And I think that’s all I ever needed… to be acknowledged… for my hard work, my heart and my passion!
I built The Maykup Club to represent inclusion, community, and a team spirit… and I now have artists/stylists that both work alongside me and represent the name! It was an honour to be a finalist alongside who I consider an integral part of the team and who shows up and represents!
Last night, it was my own contribution to the community and team, and my own work that was recognised. And to Grace, and others who have represented The Maykup Club, this one is also for you!!
To the judges… thank you for seeing me; thank you for hearing me, and thank you for choosing me! 🤍
To Danielle… thank you for the - you’ve really brought our community to life and empowered us all to succeed!!!
