✨ ThrowbackThursday ✨

There are real stories and emotions held throughout the body.

In the fascia, the muscles, and the subtle expressions we carry every day, we feel in the jaw that holds tension, the forehead that stores emotions and our mental load, the heavy eyes that reveal exhaustion and stress, and the chest that protects what feels vulnerable, our fears, anxiety, suppressed tears.

The body remembers, adapts, and communicates in ways that are often overlooked.

Learning to listen more deeply has transformed the way I work.

Three years ago, I had the privilege of completing an intensive training throughout 2023, called Rejuvology – a method founded and created by the wonderful mentor, educator, skin and wellness expert – Abigail James. It was during this time that I became one of the first 30 founding Rejuvologists✨

Rejuvology is a holistic, anatomy‑informed method that integrates multiple disciplines: fascia work, circulatory support, muscular release, lymphatic drainage, and nervous‑system‑led techniques, to create outcomes that go far beyond traditional facials or face massage.

My time learning from Abigail and working with a group of committed therapists really deepened my understanding of the relationship between the face, the body, the fascia, and emotional wellbeing.

I remain deeply grateful for that era of learning, which continues to shape the way I hold space for and support my clients today.

The body remembers everything you’ve carried.
The late nights, the stress, the responsibility,
the emotional weight you never said out loud.

It shows up in the tightness and tension in the face,
the heaviness behind your eyes,
the tightness in your neck,
the ache in your back.

So many of us move through the day holding things in our bodies without even realising it ….

We walk around holding tension, pressure, and emotions we didn’t have time to feel or have time to fully let go of.

Positive, nurturing touch gives your body a moment to let go. To stop bracing. To feel held, and safe to say to yourself, “I can let go” instead of holding everything together.

And when your body softens, your mind follows. You feel more centred, less overwhelmed, and more able to meet the day as yourself again.
