Made with oats for gentle exfoliation, this is the kind of bar I had hardworking hands in mind for — gardeners, makers, DIY lovers, or anyone whose hands regularly get grubby and greasy. 🌿🪴

Every new recipe gets tested by me first. I want to experience the lather, cleansing feel and how my skin feels afterwards before I’m happy to offer it to you.

In the end, I decided to keep the front uniform with the rest of my tallow soap collection, with a few little changes — but I loved the citrus design too much to leave it out, so those lovely orange details are staying at the back. 🍊✨

Citrus Blush is now on the side too, giving each soap its own identity while keeping the whole collection beautifully uniform. 🫧🤍

Why do soapers love turmeric? 🧡🌿

Turmeric has been treasured in traditional skincare for generations. Naturally rich in antioxidant compounds, it’s especially loved in skincare for dullness, the appearance of dark spots and uneven-looking skin tone, helping skin look brighter, fresher and more radiant. ✨

In handmade soap, turmeric also gives that gorgeous natural golden colour without artificial colouring. It’s a simple botanical ingredient that brings both beauty and character to every bar. 🧡🧼

🧼✨ The journey of a soap maker…

Three batches of my Kojic Turmeric Goat’s Milk Soap with Honey & Oats, each with a new tweak and another lesson learned.

Soap making is a constant journey of learning — formulation, changing and eliminating ingredients, improving your process and developing better judgement with every batch.

I quickly realised it’s nowhere near as easy as it looks! 😂 You’ll spend money testing oils, have frustrating batches and sometimes wonder what went wrong. But it has taught me patience and resilience, and I love the calmness I find while making soap. 🤍

One of the most satisfying parts is sharing my soaps and my content with others. If something I’ve learned along the way can help or inspire another soap maker, that makes all the testing and learning even more worthwhile.

If you’re thinking of trying soap making, give it a go. You might learn something new about yourself along the way too.
