Balance exercises for golfers 12/05/2020

One of the most underrated aspects of golf fitness is balance!! Its hard to hit the middle of the club face consistently for a lot of golfers and if you cant keep yourself still whilst swinging it makes that even more difficultπŸŒοΈβ€β™‚οΈ

Luckily a few simple exercises will help improve your proprioception (the easiest part of your balance to train)

Try doing these regularly and watch ypur balance improve. Use the first exercise to measure your progress!

Post run stretch 05/05/2020

More and more of us are running (or walking) at the moment as a way to exercise and to get out the house (including myself)

As with any exercise, an increase in activity levels like this will start to take it’s toll on the body! Most of us will start to notice sore calves, upper legs and glutes for a few days after!! This is completely normal and is one of the reasons I would normally suggest regular massage

It’s next to impossibe to stretch out that kind of soreness once it has set in, as the fascia around the muscles tightens up, and this doesnt repsond that well to stretching!! (A bit of foam rolling may help, I’ll try to cover this in another video). This is why it’s important to do what you can straight after your run, whilst your muscles are nice and warm

Make sure you are stretching off after your runs. It takes 3-4 mins to stretch out your lower body after each run, and will save you the world or soreness, aches and pains!!

The video below takes you through a quick routine that you can follow/tweak to suit!!
