Hi Everyone...5 days to go till my St John Ambulance London Marathon 2024s experience just got real, especially since my daughter Roisín gave me a Boots Everyday Ultra Soft Pack of Pocket Tissues... just in case there's no toilet paper from the 30,000 runners that started before us in the portaloos....she also gave me a pack of Andrex Classic Clean Washlets just in case I'm a smelly bu**er at the 26.2 mile finish line....don't you just love caring daughters ❤❤❤ # # #

Hi everyone, hope everyone had a great St Patrick’s Weekend 💛💚☘️🇮🇪 I know I did 🇮🇪☘️💛💚
Now it’s back to the training again, only 4 weeks on Saturday till the big day. I’m doing 20 mile plus walks at least once a week (usually Sundays) with at least 4 mile plus walks virtually every day, apart from Saturdays…just a mad busy day.
I would love to take a moment and thank everyone that’s sponsored me so far in getting half way to my target for St John Ambulance. A very special charity who kept me sane during Lockdown.

This is a shout out to all my family and friends who have phoned me, txt me, emailed me, grabbed me in the street, showing concern for me running the marathon.

Please don’t worry, I know it says I’m running the marathon for St John Ambulance in the picture below, but I’m actually planning on walking it.
I am training for it virtually every day, with a 10-13.5mile walk at least once a week leading up to the marathon.

Hi everyone! I still can’t believe I am going to be doing the London Marathon this year, it’s going to be a big challenge but one I’m really excited for. Now, I’m sure many of you are on the same page as me in thinking that 26 miles is a VERY long way, so to keep my motivation up, I would love to take dedications for the miles so I know that every mile I do, I’m doing it for someone special. This someone could be you or it could be your loved one and on the day, I will carry a card with me with all the names on it and what mile is dedicated to that person. In return, all I would ask is for a £20 minimum donation and all donations are going to the amazing St John’s Ambulance so they can carry on the amazing work that they do!
