Lip Flip + Filler Combination 💉👄✨

Carly genuinely never thought she’d be able to achieve full lips, but LOOK AT HER NOW. 🥹

Carly had a particularly strong upper lip muscle, meaning that whenever she smiled, her top lip would curl inwards and practically disappear.

She also had very little visible lip tissue in her lateral tubercles (the outer sections of the lips), so we had to be strategic with how we approached her treatment.

This is where combining T0xin with dermal filler worked beautifully!

💉 Lip Flip: By relaxing the orbicularis oris muscle, we were able to reduce how much her upper lip tucked under when she smiled, allowing more of her natural lip to remain visible.

👄 Lip Filler: We gradually built volume and structure, paying particular attention to her lateral tubercles to create a fuller, more balanced shape.

Oh and importantly… WE DIDN’T RUSH IT.

Working slowly over multiple sessions allowed us to gradually build towards Carly’s dream lips without trying to force too much volume into lips that naturally had very little tissue.

A perfect example of why it’s not always about adding MORE filler. Sometimes it’s about understanding the anatomy, how the lips behave dynamically and choosing treatments that complement each other.

A bruise doesn’t automatically mean your injector has done something wrong. Your face is FULL of blood vessels, and sometimes those tiny little buggers get in the way 😂

What matters is understanding anatomy, reducing unnecessary trauma and knowing the difference between an expected side effect and a complication.

One important distinction: worsening or unusual pain, pale or mottled skin, or unusual discolouration after filler needs urgent assessment. Any visual disturbance requires immediate emergency care. Never assume these symptoms are simply bruising and always reach out to your injector if you’re unsure 🙌🏼
