Your wellbeing comes first đ¤
You may notice a new body image screening form as part of your consultation before treatment.
I wanted to explain why.
As aesthetic practitioners, we often talk about safety in terms of anatomy, complications and aftercare but psychological wellbeing matters just as much.
Most of us have insecurities or features weâd like to improve, and that alone does not mean thereâs anything wrong or that treatment isnât appropriate.
However, for some people, concerns around appearance can run much deeper and significantly impact day-to-day life.
This is why screening matters.
The aim isnât to judge, label, or make anyone feel like theyâre being âtestedâ. It simply helps me understand your motivations, expectations, and whether treatment is truly in your best interests.
As a medical professional, my role is about far more than treating a feature in isolation.
My responsibility is to assess, educate and protect your wellbeing, both physically and psychologically.
Because sometimes the most ethical treatment plan is to treat.
Sometimes itâs to pause.
And sometimes itâs to say not yet.
At Fern Aesthetics, patient wellbeing will always come first. đ¤

If your skin has been feeling oilier, puffier or more congested lately⌠youâre not imagining it đâď¸
Heat can change a lot when it comes to how your skin looks and behaves -sometimes more than your skincare routine does.
Here are 3 things Iâve been reminding clients of during this heatwave đ
Skin tags might be harmless⌠but that doesnât mean theyâre not annoying đ
If yours catches on clothing, jewellery or just bothers you aesthetically, cryotherapy is a quick and effective option for removal.
Cryotherapy works by freezing the lesion, causing it to gradually dry up and fall away over the following days/weeks.
Treatment is:
âď¸ Quick
âď¸ Minimally invasive
âď¸ Little to no downtime
Suitable for skin tags, age spots, cherry angiomas and certain other benign lesions (following consultation).

Your 40s called. They want your collagen back. đ
Joking aside, if your face has started to feel heavier, hollower or just a bit less than it used to, youâre not imagining it.
Collagen loss is real, it starts in your 30s, and by your 40s you really start to see the difference.
Sculptra works with your skin to rebuild that lost structure, gradually stimulating your own collagen over 3-6 months. No dramatic changes. Just quietly, naturally better.
And because great skin isnât only about what happens in clinic, every Sculptra session booked in June or July includes a complimentary NOON Aesthetics starter kit on me.

One thing I hear time and time again from injectorsâŚ
âIâve done the training⌠but I still donât feel confident.â
And honestly, I get it.
Completing your training is a huge achievement, but for many injectors, thatâs when the real questions begin.
How do you run consultations confidently?
How do you document properly?
How do you prescribe safely and stay compliant?
How do you price treatments, manage bookings and create a professional patient experience?
These are the things many courses simply donât have time to teach in depth.
With 16 years of nursing experience, 7 years in aesthetics, an independent prescribing qualification and a Level 7 diploma in cosmetic injectables, Iâve learnt a lot through both training and real-world experience.
After having a couple of injectors shadow me previously and seeing how valuable they found the experience, I decided to formally open up a limited number of bespoke 1:1 shadow days.
Spend the day with me in clinic, observe real consultations and treatments, and gain insight into the systems, thought processes and standards that help me run my clinic safely and professionally.
Perfect if youâre newly qualified, wanting to build confidence, or simply wanting to refine and develop your practice.

I donât want to look 25 again.
I donât want a completely different face.
And I certainly donât believe ageing is something we should be ashamed of.
But I do understand the feeling of looking in the mirror and thinking:
âWhen did I start looking so tired?â
For many women, itâs not actually wrinkles that bother them most.
Itâs that they no longer feel their reflection matches how they feel inside.
Often, thatâs because ageing isnât just happening on the surface.
From our 30s onwards, collagen production gradually declines, skin loses some of its natural support structure, and we can begin to lose volume in key areas of the face.
The result?
A face that can look more tired, drawn or less fresh than it used to.
This is why I love treatments that focus on supporting collagen production, such as Sculptra, polynucleotides and microneedling.
Not because they stop ageing.
But because they work with your bodyâs natural processes to support healthier, stronger, more resilient skin over time.
For me, ageing well has never been about looking younger.
Itâs about looking as good as you feel đ¤
Have you ever caught your reflection and felt like it looked older than you feel inside?
One thing I wish more people understoodâŚ
No treatment works in isolation.
Sculptra works by stimulating your own collagen production over time.
But the best results donât come from a single appointment.
They come from combining the right treatments with the right skincare.
Thatâs why throughout June & July, every Sculptra session booked with me will include a NOON Experience Starter Kit.
A simple introduction to my favourite medical-grade skincare range, so you can support your skin both in clinic and at home.
Because great skin isnât built in a day đ¤

The biggest lesson the gym taught me about ageing well?
There is no magic fix.
Not in fitness.
Not in nutrition.
Not in aesthetics.
As an aesthetics nurse, I love treatments that stimulate collagen production, such as Sculptra, polynucleotides and microneedling.
But treatments are only one piece of the puzzle.
Your body still needs the right building blocks to support healthy skin, which is why things like protein intake, sleep, exercise, skincare, SPF and other lifestyle factors matter too.
One of the things I think we talk about far less than we should is protein.
Protein provides amino acids that the body uses as building blocks for many important processes, including collagen production.
That doesnât mean you need a perfect diet to benefit from collagen stimulating treatments.
Far from it.
These treatments can be incredibly effective on their own.
But when weâre investing in treatments designed to stimulate collagen, it makes sense to also think about the foundations that support overall skin health.
The gym has taught me that lasting results rarely come from one thing alone. Theyâre usually the result of lots of small choices, repeated consistently over time.
The same applies to our skin.
Healthy ageing isnât about finding the perfect treatment, product or supplement.
Itâs about combining great treatments with healthy habits and consistency over time.
Whatâs one habit youâre currently focusing on for your health or skin? đđ¤

I genuinely never thought lash lifts would work well on my lashes⌠but after 3 months of consistent use, look at the difference đ
My lashes are visibly longer, fuller and stronger â and this week I finally had a lash lift that actually gave a noticeable result. I canât wait to see what the next 3 months of consistent use brings đđđź
Huge credit to for the most relaxing appointment and SUCH a beautiful lift â¨
If youâve got naturally short or sparse lashes and feel like extensions are your only option, there are at-home treatment options available following a medical consultation.
As always, suitability, risks and medical history need to be assessed individually đ¤

itâs not about bigger lips⌠itâs about balance â¨
When most people think of lip filler, they imagine dramatic volume.
But some of the most beautiful results come from subtle changes that restore balance and harmony to the face.
In this lovely patient, a small amount of filler was used to:
⢠restore lost volume
⢠improve hydration
⢠redefine the lip border
⢠enhance shape and projection
⢠balance facial features
The result isnât âbig lips.â
Itâs a softer, fresher and more balanced appearance that still looks completely natural.
This is why aesthetic treatments are not about changing how you look.
Theyâre about enhancing your features in a way that feels subtle, elegant and true to you.
Results are shown immediately after treatment, so some swelling is present and will settle over the next few days.
⨠Natural-looking results, tailored to your features.
