This Mohawk set was originally installed elsewhere, but today one of my returning customers popped in for a quick maintenance session.

I pulled in the loose hairs, tidied the roots, and gave everything a good refresh to keep the locs looking neat and healthy.

It’s always lovely seeing clients return and being trusted to help maintain their loc journey.

Always a pleasure welcoming returning clients back to Shedlocs 😊

This maintenance session was all about pulling in those loose hairs, tightening everything up, and giving these locs a fresh, tidy look. With the hot weather, we took the appointment outside and worked in the shade – definitely the best place to be!!

Maintenance Transformation!

A returning customer was back today after around 12 months since their last maintenance.

The original install was done elsewhere, and with such a long gap between appointments there was a significant amount of loose regrowth and hair that had worked its way out of the dreadlocks. This is completely normal when maintenance is left for a while, but it does mean a lot more work to tidy everything back up.

After spending time separating, tidying and locking the loose hair back into the dreads, they’re looking neat, defined and healthy again. 🙌

Regular maintenance every 3–6 months (depending on your hair type and preference) helps keep your dreads looking their best and makes each appointment much easier.

There was plenty of new growth to work with and some sections needed separating and tidying up. A bit oftime woth the hook in hand and we’re back to neat roots, defined sections and healthy locs.

I always enjoy these bigger transformations because the difference between the before and after is so satisfying to see.
