“As natural as humanly possible.”
That was the brief. ✨
My client is a natural redhead with a very fair, cool complexion that she felt was ‘washing her out’. As you can see from her before photo, her lips had virtually no pigmentation at all. In fact, her top lip was almost identical in colour to the surrounding skin, leaving very little definition and prescence.
She rarely wears makeup as her skin can be quite sensitive, so creating a result that looked completely effortless was absolutely essential. THIS is exactly what Cosmetic Tattooing was made for!
The after photo shows her fully healed result after just ONE session. 🙌
What makes me smile most is seeing what can be achieved when clients follow every aspect of their pre and post-treatment care. Great healed results are always a partnership between artist and client.
Now she has a beautiful warm flush of colour that restores shape and definition to her lips without ever looking “tattooed”. The result is subtle, soft and incredibly natural—just a fresher, healthier-looking version of her own lips. ✨
Interestingly, creating a healed result like this is often far more challenging than creating a bolder lip blush. Knowing exactly how much colour to implant, when to stop, and how a pigment will heal over time takes years of experience and restraint.
Sometimes the most impressive results are the ones nobody can quite put their finger on. They simply look at you and think:
