New categorisation of sports massage and sports therapists now allow us to work through the pandemic. So if you are experiencing pain or suffering with an injury, get in touch to arrange a consultation to see if you can get a treatment.

The only reason to treat a client is for a clinical need (i.e. a medical condition) therefore the treatment will not comprise of general massage but will treat a specific injury/condition with appropriate techniques.

Wales has entered a National Lockdown, alert level 4, with similar guidelines to the previous firebreak. This took effect from 20th December 2020 (with relaxation of the rules for Christmas day only).

However, the guidelines state that professional medical services are exempt which means level 4 and 5 qualified therapists can continue to work but treatment must only be carried out for a medical need. With this in mind, a virtual consultation must take place first to clinically reason the need and this must be documented.

Clinic will be open but only for medical needs not for general maintenance massages. There are many reasons a condition would be classed as a medical need so please get in touch if you have any questions or need an appointment

Wow!! What a difference this made to my achilles and calfs today. I haven’t used kinesiology tape for a while but this stuff seriously rocks. I was in a fair bit a pain after last weeks match and it was still sore this morning so I taped it up and it feels good as gold.

Watch this space, I’ll be held together with the stuff all over my body next match 😂
