Our first has inspired us to launch a new product that also captures the crippling effects of the lesser known . So often appearing in conjunction with , we were inspired by her story and personal request for something that showed she was affected by both these horrible diseases, but wasn't ashamed to show it!
Here is Ivee Ghee 's amazingly brave personal story and why we felt we had to give this community the option to show they are both Endo & Adeno Warriors!๐๐
"Im 41 and had a supracervical hysterectomy on January 19th 2023. I had twins via IVF in 2018, born by c-section. My Periods and pains got even worse once they started back up after my twinkies were born. I was confirmed diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2020 when they took my fallopian tubes out in hope to alleviate symptoms and clean out whatever endometriosis they found. I felt amazing for a year, felt better than i had my whole life. Then it came back with vengeance a year later. Or so i thoughtโฆTurns out that when they did my hysterectomy, I was confirmed to have Adenomyosis. Thankfully, no Endometriosis was found this time. Which means alllllll the pains, pelvic, legs, back, brain fog, pain while going to the toilet, sometimes constipated, sometimes the other way, swollen legs, stomach pains, nausea, feeling cold, and chronic fatigue, and not to mention heavy heavy painful periods, etc. were all caused by the Adenomyosis!
I had never heard of Adenomyosis until I was in hysterectomy recovery when my amazing doctor told me what he had found during the procedure.
I have read so so so much about it since, and it absolutely explains to a T the worsening debilitating pains each month I would endure from before ovulation through menstruation.
Periods are not supposed to be really heavy and or really painful. You have to advocate for yourself and donโt let anyone minimise what youโre feeling physically, or emotionally, ever! ๐"
