Having one of those moments lately where I just sit back and think about my whole hairdressing journey and honestly… how am I this lucky 🥹✨

This job challenges me, drains me, excites me, stresses me, makes me laugh, makes me think and somehow still fills my heart at the same time. It’s the most wholesome yet mentally busy lil life and I wouldn’t change it for the world 🤍🌸💆🏻‍♀️

Every single day my brain is working overtime — mixing colours, fixing problems, learning new things, figuring out what will suit who, listening to stories, having deep chats, having silly chats and sometimes talking absolute nonsense for hours straight 😅🧠🎨 - shout out to my English teacher, I did in fact get a job where I talk ALL THE TIME 🤭🤭🤭

Hairdressing isn’t just hair… it’s people, energy, trust, friendship and all the little moments in between - even vulnerability!!

I feel so grateful that so many of my clients have become real friends over the years ✨🤍
Some of you I’ve known forever, some of you are new, some of you tell me everything, some of you just come to relax — but every single one of you means something to me and I truly appreciate you all more than you know 🫶🏼

There are hard days, long days, days where my brain feels fried and my feet hurt, but even on those days I realise this is exactly where I’m meant to be ✨

❤️🧜‍♀️ “ I WANT TO BE WHERE THE PEOPLE ARE ‘’ — and she definitely wanted to be back to being a redhead again 🧜‍♀️❤️

This was a full colour transformation to bring back that bold & vibrant Ariel red 🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️🧜‍♀️

Her previous colour had lost its brightness and had quite a bit of mineral build up, which meant we couldn’t just go straight over with red if we wanted a clean, even result ❤️✨

To achieve this level of vibrancy, I foiled through the hair to lift out the dull pigment first, creating a fresh, even base so the red would take properly and stay bright. This step is so important when working with fashion shades — skipping it can leave the colour patchy or muddy ☹️

Once we had the perfect lift, I applied our chosen shade of red & to intensify that even more I went in with Vermillion Red, one of my favourite reds for that true fire tone finish ❤️🧜‍♀️

To keep the hair feeling as healthy as possible during the process, I used throughout the service, protecting the hair bonds while colouring so we kept the shine, strength and condition 🪩

Obsessed with this transformation. Reds like this always make a statement & it’s giving little mermaid 🧜‍♀️❤️
