Colour shock is the temporary darkness and intensity you see immediately after your PMU appointment.

Straight after treatment, brows will appear bolder, sharper and deeper in tone. This is due to fresh pigment sitting in the skin, pigment oxidising and surface pigment that has not yet shed.

As the skin heals and regenerates, that excess pigment flakes away and the colour softens.

Brows typically lighten by up to 50% once fully healed.

What feels “too dark” on day one is not the final result.

Years of over-plucking had left little to no brow tail.

Using a soft ombré technique, the tails were carefully extended to reintroduce structure and frame the outer eye area with precision.

The result: refined definition that enhances the face without appearing heavy or artificial.

A full suitability assessment was carried out before treatment to evaluate existing pigment and brow integrity.

In this case, the previous work had faded enough to allow a soft ombré technique to be layered safely, restoring balance and structure.

I’m really pleased with the refined result achieved here.

Working over previous tattooing isn’t always appropriate, and suitability will always guide my recommendations.
