The feet communicate so much with us and I’m still learning new things everyday.

Reflexology supports the whole body just by working on the feet and it can help to bring things back into balance.

What do we look for?:

Dry skin or calluses
A popping feeling (like bubble wrap)
A change in temperature
Small grainy texture under the skin
Hard lumps

As well as assessing reactions in the body such as sighing, yawning, swallowing, restlessness.

I’m going to be sharing more points on the feet and how they can support your body over the next few weeks.

Spending half your life masking just to fit in can really make you questions all of who you are.

What’s truly your voice, and what is someone else’s, masquerading as your own?

You’re still there underneath but the lines are blurred around the edges and it can feel uncomfortable and unsettling.

Having children turned my world upside down, it was chaos (and still is some days) but I’m honestly grateful for that turmoil that I was thrown into. Because once I found my feet again, I finally felt able to understand myself and really begin to focus on what I wanted from life.

The world wants us to move faster because if we slow down, we might actually love who we are and begin to really listen to ourselves and we won’t need so much external validation.

I’m proud of the journey I’ve been on and the person I’ve become, even if it didn’t look how I thought it would. And you should feel proud of yours too. You can be whatever you want to be and you can use your time however you want.

Stop dimming your light to allow others to shine theirs brighter. There’s room for all of our lights and the world needs it more than ever now x

All of these feelings are completely valid.

When you’ve been doing the same thing for so long, your mind finds safety in that. Even if it’s not benefiting you anymore.

Stepping out of that is hard, and can feel uncomfortable. But I want you to know that it gets easier, and as much as you can still keep going even when your cup is empty, you don’t have to.

And eventually your body will catch up and make you stop, at the most inconvenient time normally!

So what can you do today to honour your own needs? Not to stop caring about others, but to also care about yourself.

You don’t need huge changes, just small intentional moments that signal to your body that you see it and it is loved and appreciated.

The more we can accept and have gratitude for ourselves, the more we begin to look after ourselves

I know that first step is hard.

I know because I’ve been there.

When you’d give anything for a break, but how!? How do you even begin to do that when your life is so full and everyone needs so much of you.

And actually if you’re being honest with yourself, it feels easier to just keep pushing along and ignoring your own needs.

As someone that used to think that way, I want to tell you that, yes, it does feel hard. After years of putting my own dreams, desires and feelings tucked away in a little box on my imaginary shelf, reopening those felt unsettling.

But taking those first steps was so worth it. And I realised it didn’t need to feel so hard and I get to do it at my pace and everyone around me benefits because I’m so much happier.

So this is your reminder that you get to enjoy life too and you are just as important as everyone else.

Everyone is telling you to show up for yourself.

But what does that even mean when everyday feels like you’re climbing a mountain that you’re never going to reach the top of.

You treat yourself to a massage and it feels so good to finally relax and slow down, but then it never lasts because you’re back in the chaos of life, being needed and pulled in every different direction.

And I’m not here to convince you that having a treatment with me will change your life.

But I’ve been where you are. When you just think, what’s the point?

And I want you to know this. It can get better.

Showing up for yourself is hard when your world feels heavy. But the more you intentionally choose yourself, even when it feels difficult to, the more you build trust in yourself.

The more your body begins to soften. The more you begin to learn how to deal with those challenges that are inevitably going to meet you in life.

I don’t often share reflexology points on here.

To be honest it just doesn’t resonate with me to do that because I don’t like to work in sections. I’m not a “press here to help this part of your body” practitioner.

But there’s certain points that I come back to time and time again in real life that actually save me from spiralling, and this is one of them.

Give it a try and let me know how you get on. And you can do this anytime, as many times as you want. It’s that simple and that easy!

We don’t always have the luxury of time
And as a home educating mum, trying to build my business, I know this first hand.

So here are my top 10 ways to reset when I’m feeling overwhelmed with life but still need to function:

10 - Facial reflexology to bring me back to my body
9 - Solar Plexus point to calm my nervous system
8 - Spinal reflex to unwind my whole system
7 - Gentle Release helping to release
6 - Brain dumping on paper so I don’t have to hold it
5 - Moving it out of my body - shaking, stomping whatever it needs
4 - Gentle stretching to allow myself time to breathe and slow down
3 - Headphones on singing and dancing in my own world (and inviting kids to join if they want to)
2 - Barefoot outside to ground
1 - Getting outside in nature for a walk

I know how it feels to feel overwhelmed and exhausted but still need to keep going, because we don’t all have the luxury to just put it all down. It can feel impossible to reset again but it’s important to notice the signs and give yourself permission to look after yourself, even if it’s just a few minutes to take a breather.

And these can involve your children in with them if you have children at home with you and your day is feeling heavy. It’s a great learning opportunity on how to look after their bodies too.

So jittery you don’t know what to do with yourself…ever had that?

During an online session yesterday i could feel the energy building inside me and I knew my body just needed to move. So as soon as it finished I tuned in and just allowed whatever movement it needed.

Sometimes you need quiet and stillness but sometimes you just need to move it out.

I love a Rave in the kitchen when I’m feeling like this. It always leads to laughter and silliness with my children and they need it just as much as me

It’s never just about the treatment, it’s always deeper than that.

It’s creating the space so many are craving. It’s in the gentle touch that heals so much, that you never knew even needed healing.

I am deeply grateful everyday that this work found me and kept nudging me until I finally listened.

Was it what I envisaged myself doing? Not even close! But it’s everything I needed, deep within my soul. I just didn’t realise it.
