NOTICE OF ROAD & CARPARK CLOSURES

🔊 Staffordshire County Council highways have announced a major resurfacing scheme at Upper Gungate starts from Monday 10 February. It will be split into five different phases that will work on one section of the route at a time.

➡️Phase 1 of works will take place at Aldergate, between the signalised junction of Lichfield Street and the junction of Corporation Street.

➡️Road closures will be in place, with clearly signed diversions, and access will be maintained for residents and businesses where safe to do so.

➡️The carpark opposite the Assembly Rooms on Aldergate, will be closed from 10 February for 2 weeks.

➡️If you are visiting The Assembly Rooms during this time, please plan your visit in advance to follow any road diversions and see link to all other nearby town centre carparks:https://www.tamworth.gov.uk/car-parks

The project is expected to take around 12 weeks to complete.

The Assembly Rooms remains open throughout the works. 😊
