A chance for a good catch up over a few bottles of wine, nibbles & everyone at the end of the night has a beautiful tan. WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SPRAY TAN? ….. Book an appointment with me letting me know where you would like it done. Arrive at chosen venue. Discuss the right shade that would suit you. Set up equipment & pop up tent. A barrier spray is used on elbows, knees & feet to stop over coverage. You will have an instant tan but it is a guide colour for me to ensure perfect coverage & I have missed no areas. The tan then starts to develop underneath. Loose clothing will need to be worn after to ensure it does not rub off. Do not get wet before your shower time. When you shower you will see some colour wash off, don’t worry! This is normal and is only the guide colour that your spray tan technician uses when she applies your tan. You will still be left with a beautiful golden tan. It’s up to you what you want to be sprayed in and how you will feel most comfortable. Some people like to wear a strapless bikini top & bottoms others just want bottoms and some people n**e as they want an all over tan with no tan marks. PREPERATION FOR YOUR SPRAY TAN. The most important thing to prepare for a spray tan is to exfoliate thoroughly 24 hours beforehand, paying particular attention to drier areas such as knees, elbows, heels and feet. This will remove dry skin and provide anew, smooth surface for your tan. Exfoliating helps to provide an even coverage and will lengthen the duration of the tan. You must always moisturise the day BEFORE your tan is to be applied, NEVER on the day. Shave or wax and moisturise the night before your application NOT ON THE DAY. Be completely free of make-up, moisturiser, perfume and deodorant before your session. AFTERCARE Follow these steps immediately after your spray tan.
1) Remember you must leave your tan for a minimum of 2 hours for rapid tan or 8hours/overnight if possible before showering. This will allow your tan to develop fully.
2) Avoid wearing socks, shoes or boots after your tanning session. If possible sandals or flip flop are a good choice.
3) Avoid applying moisturisers and deodorants. Avoid wearing tight clothing for at least 8hours.
4) Swimming, showering and vigorous exercise must be avoided for at least 8hours as this can inhibit the development of your tan. Do not shave until 24 hours after your treatment.
6) Do not sit on light coloured fabrics until after you have showered as the colour guide may rub off and cause discoloration.
