Wales is very special to me…my mum and her family are Welsh and having spent parts of my life living in Wales I also have lots of Welsh friends so a BIG ‘Happy St David’s Day’ to them!!

I went to university in Swansea where I studied Illustration for 3 years and got to enjoy city life alongside the beautiful mumbles and Gower peninsula.
I then spent a year living in a slate cottage at the foot of Mount snowden in Llanberis in North Wales. The landscape there was powerful and somehow claustrophobic.

Here’s a Welsh Corgi artwork to mark the day…I’m not sure if it’s a Pembroke or Cardigan but he/she’s Welsh all the same 😃

🌟 Happy New Year 🌟
New beginnings….I have an announcement to make…..over the past 14 years I have had the absolute pleasure of working on some very special commissions…creating totally unique map pieces with your locations and one-off shapes…I’ve made such a variety of animals, objects, buildings, vehicles….each one making a personal gift. It’s been lovely but it’s time for change.
I’ve decided now as a new year starts that it’s time to stop making bespoke artworks.
This year I will be moving house and with that comes the organisation of my huge map collection…I need to downsize!!!! Massively!!
I will still have map artworks for sale in Rocket and Bird but they will be focused around the south west and also map quote artworks.

Going forward I will be concentrating on creating my artworks of animals using old children’s books and I have a solo exhibition pencilled in for later in the year!!

Thank you so much to everyone who has ordered a commission with me over the past 14years, I am so grateful for your support and so happy that I can keep going…just with a slightly different strategy.
